Probably the most unique environment I've seen in a game.
God damn am I excited for this game.
now that i've actually watched it: wow that was a fucking trip. The environments are so good god damn. There's a lot more shooting than I was expecting but that's fine I'll take it, especially since the shooting sounds are so GOOD
The reload animations looks fucking slow. Also its so squishy
This looks fucked up. I love it.
the disgusting, organic corruption on the hr giger environment is so fucking cool
I wish they'd allude to some story if there is, and if they haven't already. That and the first person animations could do with some more weight and speed to em.
to be honest I want the story to be as vague as possible. the mystery around everything is what makes the atmosphere for me.

I couldn't back it last time but I am really tempted to do so now.
I really like the fact that they went with a minimalist approach to the UI, going as far as making the ammo indicators be integrated into the weapon while also being part of the reload animation.
Holy shit the weapon feedback is thunderous That's something I certainly didn't expect from a slow spooky game like this.
The bullets feel comically tiny compared to the size and sound of the weapon.
The bullets feel comically tiny compared to the size and sound of the weapon.
Given that the gun is organic, maybe it's not the bullet causing the massive feedback, maybe the ammo just gives your gun bad indigestion. :v:
Reminds me of the Upside Down from stranger things. Looks sxc
The bullets feel comically tiny compared to the size and sound of the weapon.
Hmmm, could be that the "bullets" in question are just the propellant and the projectile comes from the weapon itself (as shards of bone). I'm just speculating but considering the theme of the game it could be the case.
backed that shit out of principle
I'm seriously considering backing this.
Backed. Love the weird organic landscapes. Also the reason I backed Agony.

It's like at some point everyone just decided games have to be pure shooters or pure adventure games, and god damn I want more games with mind-bending puzzles w/ strong atmosphere AND satisfying shooter action. Attempts at it, at the very least.
Is there any story on how the world become an H.R Giger fantasy world ?
The art is beautiful, too bad the game play looks boring and dull. Hopefully the can work on that before release. Makes me wish for a Painkiller game with this type of art and weapon design.
Did the Tier 4 pledge because why not. This is the first time I've backed something on kickstarter.
Tier 7 pledged boys, I hope this is successful.
Is there any story on how the world become an H.R Giger fantasy world ?
No story at all has been released about the game, and I think that they're going to keep things vague. Their website says
Environmental storytelling – All the storytelling happens in-game, with no cut-scenes to distract you from the grisly reality of the world you’re in. Remember to keep your eyes open – the game won’t show you any sympathy if you miss something important on your uneasy travels.
Considering the environment that you're in, I don't think that we can fire up a computer running Linux or AVE GLORIOSA NOVAMINA for an OS that has a text file saying how exactly this happened, so it might be up to interpretation.
Why do the guns just work like boring usuql human guns? This would be a great opportunity to have all the weapons in the game be like really weird stuff like hivehand from hl for instance, and all they squished out of these wonderfull designs is just something that shoots like a gun and sounds like a gun.
I'm not jumping on the backer hype train because last time I did that I got mighty number 9

Isn't this based on that one sci fi story where all humans where punished by aliens who are like reaaally good at bio-engineering?
This looks like it has pretty cool visuals but not much past that - combat seems to be extremely slow and sluggish and the weapons extremely unoriginal from their function given what source material they are working with. I hope this will be more than just a 'we made 3D models from Giger art oh also here is some shallow fps gameplay/walking sim since we couldn't work out how to rip off Amnesia right'. Trailers usually don't show puzzles but I do hope it will be a major part to figure out how exotic mechanisms and controls could work to progress in the game.
Tier 5 backed. They've done amazing work with such a small team so far, plus the flying head things remind me of the xen creatures you fight in Half-Life1.
