Try to hold in your mind while watching that YOU ARE one of these. I don't think I've taken the time to really appreciate it.

This is so cool! Yet it makes me so uncomfortable watching it.
I've seen countless drawings & diagrams of brains, but that was the first time I ever saw a real one & nothing could prepare me for how surreal it felt knowing that not only is there one of those is inside my head but also that thing is me.
Probably because all the images & diagrams weren't quite as accurate as I thought
This was once a person.
I got weird feelings all around my body while watching this...
It's so difficult to just think that's behind your eyes. So vulnerable with all those tiny cords that keeps you alive. I'm afraid of my own body.
rip mine out of my body and put it in an amazing robot
Yeah it's pretty wild. Like, when you're looking in the mirror, this veiny blob sits within your head, peering out through the silent automated controlling of your eyes to view the external world. It like...grew inside this biological robot that does the bidding of the blob. My self aware blob is now typing this, and your blob is reading it.
And then like shit like this!:

Oh wow, I have only ever handled a formalin fixed brain, it never quite occurred to me the difference there would be!
The people in the dissection room were a great learning opportunity, but it's amazing how different it can be when you compare even recently preserved to recently deceased.
for some reason i never expected it to be so floppy and fleshy
ewh

Here's something else for you to think about, you as yourself is only one half of your brain, the left hemisphere, the other half is actually a completely separate "person" that can't talk because the right lacks the speech centre, normally its just a slave to the portion that is "you" and they work together, but there are conditions where it can take over, look up Alien Hand Syndrome, its an example of where the other section takes control and does stuff without you actually consenting to it, think of it as someone trying to talk but they can only do it through action because they can't actually talk.
Basically, you is two and they work together to be you, if you want to look into it more look up split brain and Corpus Callosotomy, it used to be a thing that was done to treat epilepsy but it actually opened up a lot on how the brain as a whole works, as we know both sides are specific to doing certain things, when you remove the link between them, shit gets fucking weird.
tbh brains look like small shit monsters
It seems our head-blobs don't like being reminded they are in fact head-blobs.
What's unnerving is you can hear another saw in the background around the 3 minute mark. More than likely cutting open another dead person to extract the brain.
Wow, it looks so soft. I've fiddled with a preserved brain during a psychology class back in college, and it wasn't even close to how soft that recently deceased brain in the video was.
Great, now I feel all itchy inside :ohno:

That's some pretty existential shit right there
Imagining that this person had only just died, probably less than half an hour or so before this video was filmed... It makes you wonder if they still experience anything, even the vaguest vestige of what we'd call life. Obviously they're not feeling being touched, since the brain has no nerve endings, but I suppose we won't know exactly what happens or what it feels like until we go through it ourselves.
No matter how much gore you see with heads and brains flying around in middle-east, this actually got me. I feel a bit dizzy.
i feel very unsettled watching this video simply due to the fragility of such a vital organ. a part of me wants to yell at the lady "stop, you're damaging the brain!" despite the owner obviously being long dead
is this what that dude meant by "grab her by the brain"

scratch your brain
use this

this hurts my head just watching it. Actually anything that involves internal organs just make those organs within me panic. Like it's getting too hyperaware of itself

In all honesty, that would be pretty fantastic. Nowhere near as good as being given a head massage, but I'd take it!

i can't imagine how fucked up and paranoid you'd get if you were hyper aware of every single portion of your entire body
When I was doing my clinical practicum for my xray program, I got to do a case in the morgue, it was a gunshot wound and suspected murder, scary shit. Anyway, we took our images, left and went to process them, and when we came back, they had his body and head flayed open and I witnessed the lady just pull the brain straight out of the skull. It was really surreal to see
Anyone have any idea why they weigh the brains after removal?
Well, this is going to be weird.....but I'm feeling hungry all the sudden from watching this......

Imagine connecting your brain to a monitor that can display your own thoughts, then looking at it. its like aiming a camera at its own viewing screen causing an infinite loop of the screen. Idk if that can fuck you up, but that's how I'd imagine hyper awareness feels like.

Spaghetti is the best shit ever so I can't blame you
[editline]23rd October 2016[/editline]
Also, if you think seeing this shit is weird
go out and buy some ear plugs, now go to the most silent room you can find and start moving your head around, listen to your neck/spine moving against itself
basically tilt your head back then move it around

I did a double take at the mac&cheese I was eating while watching this. Raw brains are a lot more peach colored than I thought they'd be.
