It really does baffle me that, after the wild success of co-op horror games like The Forest and Left 4 Dead, nobody has decided to make a spiritual successor to Outbreak.
Spent countless hours with my friend trying to 100% outbreak file 2 . For some reason the game is so interesting and fun and challenging. It's one of those games that are really really hard but you love them so much that you will keep trying to beat them for ages.
Darkwood is a criminally underrated game [vid]http://pred.me/videos/spooky.mp4[/vid] buy this shit you ffffffffFUCKS
This vid was downright experimental. I love it Also holy shit Darkwood looks insanely terrifying
Dude, I've been trying to get the Outbreak revive thing to work for like 2 years. I for some reason can't get it to. I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong, if anyone has a premade configured ps2 emulator I can download, with the game patched, I would absolutely love to play it with some friends. I fucking loved playing this game back in the day though, and the deaths in MP were actually pretty awesome, cause it didn't JUST mean you died. You came back as a zimzam, and could actually wipe out your entire team. Ontop of that, the perspective was excellent. No matter what in that game, you had no idea if you were the only survivor if your team didn't stick together. I remember once, when I was in the Hospital map on file 1, I ended up doing everything till the end by myself. Just to find out, there was another survivor who didn't make it to extract, and was still battling off zimzams in the hospital, and just had no idea where to go. Whereas the rest of the team was dead. It's just incredible to think how asymmetrical the gameplay was.

Outbreak is actually one of my favorite RE games. I loved playing it online up until it(as well as File2) servers went down.
Darkwood has a wizard audio technician, the games sound design is the most horror and anxiety inducing stuff since Akira Yamaoka

i remember reading something about the developers, using the money that was suppose to help the game to buy medicine a family member(?) and stopped developing it all together. maybe a different game
i think you're thinking of a different game, the last alpha update was just under a month ago
After reading little bit more, i think they used the indiegogo money for the medicine. the early access sales goes to develop the game.
Holy crap that Chef Boyardee commercial brought back some memories.
