model x kinda costs 3 times as much money, I would hope it's faster
Thats one way to sell someone on a car... Jeez that's impressive.
model x kinda costs 3 times as much money, I would hope it's faster
So price = speed?
I'd still take the Alfa instead.
To be fair the 4c is designed for corner speed, a 4 cylinder engine isn't exactly built for drag racing.
237hp and peak torque of 350Nm at 2.1k rpm vs AWD with 260hp at the front and 503 at the back with something crazy like 700Nm of torque not so surprising anymore huh
As soon as the Tesla charger stations become a thing in my area, I'm probably gonna hop on the Tesla wagon, even though I'll miss the engine rumble of my current car.
Well it's an Alfa, and given Italian engineering, it's going to have to be towed around eventually anyways. But I'd still have the Alfa. It's beautiful. Especially compared to the hideous thing towing it, as beastly as that is.

Weirdly enough, my parents A3 8L has given a fuckton more headaches than anything else we've had before, excluding a Fiat Uno that, while it was old and always messed up, it still lasted like 16 years.
What is built for drag racing while towing though? :v:
probably a coal runner funny enough, it would pretty much be a race between a coal plant and a solar panel or a windmill

A lot of people still love the way they feel and sound, and will continue to use them, but they aren't the new practical norm.
Modern Alfas have nothing on the originals. The Tesla X model X looks much better
Opinions, but IMO, its both subjective and objective. A- theres a lot you couldn't like on the 4C, and there are Alfas one can dislike and others could absolutely love (which I never really understand but I guess thats the point) B- in an objective way, while Teslas aren't ugly by themselves, I think they are undoubtly uglier than many other cars, not just the 4C. It works kind of like the MP4-12C vs 458 Italia vs R8 and if you want to throw into the mix aswell, the GT-R. The MP4 and MAYBE the GT-R are faster than the Italia and the R8, but the problem lies right there. Both those cars shapes were made with a purpose in mind. They were shaped by science alone, and not with love (and obviously a good bit of science aswell, but theres a whole lot more love in it in comparison) The same happens with the 4C and the Tesla. The 4C, the 8C, the Disco Volante, and most other Alfas were firstly made to be beautiful and extravagant. The 8C for example has some horrible things mechanicaly, making it not that great of a numbers driver car. The Tesla was made with what I would say was 50/50 use/beauty in mind, because you can see they took their time in making it good looking but still have purpose in its design. But compared to many other cars, theres no soul to its design. Theres no REAL beauty. It looks ok and that's it. It just looks like any estate car in the end. Heck, even a 2011 Alfa estate looks better.

It's not going to be rusting the moment you pull off the lot like in the 1970s, but it's still going to be a money pit.
Electric vehicles don't have a transmission or a torque curve. They are 100% torque from the instant the accelerator is pressed. The Model S also does well in drag races for exactly that reason.

Look at DeMuro's extended mile warra...I mean, Aston Martin. Not even 100k miles on it iirc, and it already would cost like 5000 dollars to fix all the crap it had or something. The warranty did pay for itself and even went over itself with the costs. Fiat's better nowadays though, but I still wouldn't hold my breath on that. Ever.
So price = speed?
for the most part yeah. name 5 cars over $150k and 5 cars under 40k and I guarantee all the 40k cars will be slower unless you name like a mustang and a Maybach
Its a cute joke but the 4C an ultra lightweight car designed for handling, not acceleration. I'd like to see the Tesla try this with a big car that is designed to go fast in a straight line, like a Camaro or Challenger.

It hurts the world.
It's also an SUV that seats 7 adults, not a convertible sports car.
