Love this guy and oh my god, Dragonball Evolution sucks so much ass.
As someone who is not a fan of Dragon Ball, I feel so bad for anyone even slightly invested in the series that saw this movie.

They just ignored all character traits, no one acted like their show counterparts, they completely switched up the story too and any kind of concepts that were found in DBZ were thrown on the window.
To be fair, at least Brian Tyler's soundtrack was really good. Imagine this set to a better climax. And honestly, much as this movie hurt me, without it I don't think the folks working so hard to make fan films on Youtube (Fall of Man, Light of Hope) would have been made. You'd still have people doing some I'm sure, but not with the kind of fervor and effort some of them exude. It really inspired people by outrage alone to try and redeem the series' dignity. And if it actually angered Toriyama enough to make Battle of Gods, and pretty much resurrect the series for another generation, I've gotta admit that the trade is well worth it... even if Dragonball Super is a pile of poorly drawn and adapted betrayal.
