Since i found out that the best to remove write protection form an SD card is to stick a bit of ducktape onto one of it's ports, nothing can suprise me so if I were a little bit dumber I could actually fall for this

Personally I try to avoid touching the PCB as much as possible but I don't know how much of a difference it makes.

I don't slather my hands on my PCB's, but I worked as a IT tech for 2 years and have been building machines for many years and I've never come across any real evidence that outside of static, would it be a true issue.
