:wtc:
Before I watch this, is it a gory actiony film? or one of those artsy films were nothing much actually happens?. Also give me back my damn avatar. :argh:
It's an artsy film up until the last two parts 9 and 10. Its not really that gory, but its a good film none the less.
That extra footage is fucking disturbing
Yeah it is. That kid being pulled out of the window is my friend Ryan Ireland's brother. I remember seeing him when he came out of the hospital. He got a shotgun to the face but lived. Its pretty insane.
:ohdear:
so why is it called elephant??
Elephant as in elephant in the room. Expression used for saying its awkward. Because Eric and Dylan were both the most awkward kids at school. Just think about that saying and you'll understand how it relates to this movie.
Written and directed by a student film maker.
Actually, this was written and directed by Gus Van Sant; an Oscar nominated, 58 year old (51 at the time of this film), very accomplished director. Not a student film maker. Before this film he had directed 19 others including 1997's Good Will Hunting, which got him an Oscar nomination for best director.
This movie is so slow and dull. Also the fucking walking, the movie is literally 60% just silent walking. [editline]05:41PM[/editline] And after they've finished their 20 minute long walks they continue doing boring and irrelevant shit I know this is supposed to be artistic but there is a fine line between artistic and straight up boring.

Thanks for the update though :3
Reminds you how fucked up school shootings are.
The second extra footage is a confirmed fake.
I like this movie. Seen it twice.
Watched this movie in class earlier this year. It's got some nifty cinematography.
I like this movie. Seen it twice.
Tugger! You're awesome. Just saying, I love your videos. Even though I don't think you've added any in about a week :/
yes now that people were killed we shall say they trained themselves on counter strike and that we should ban video games. every school shooting on fox news uses the same story about counter strike
yes now that people were killed we shall say they trained themselves on counter strike and that we should ban video games. every school shooting on fox news uses the same story about counter strike
They actually did train themselves with video games. The game was DOOM though. Not CSS
They actually did train themselves with video games. The game was DOOM though. Not CSS
I'm sorry, that's a load of bullshit. You can't train yourself to shoot up a bunch of innocent people by playing DOOM. They may have played violent video games but that has nothing to do with what they did. I mean, what would they need to train themselves for in the first place? How to point and shoot at unarmed bystanders? You don't learn that in a game either, seeing as you just have to center targets on your screen and click. There's nothing in DOOM that teaches people how to create a hostage situation or shoot up a school. And I do remember something about them creating a level in the game that represented their school, but that still wouldn't really train for anything. It's not like the game has frightened students for npcs.
exactly my friend, thats why fox news is bull shit
This is a great movie.
Wait, why did he shoot the other guy with the gun as well? :frog:
Because he needed to kill him because he soon kills himself after. Thats the same thing that Dylan and Eric did.
I loaded all the videos at the same time and finished watching it under 7 mins.

It's not like the game has frightened students for npcs.
The funny thing is, we don't really know because they're both dead and Colorado police officers never really found anything about that. Its just a thought that was carried out to far. I don't say video games create freaks or anything, I'm not saying Fox news is right, all I'm saying is they did train for this by playing DOOM because they stole the blue prints of Columbine, created an exact copy of it for DOOM, changed the enemy skins/models to look like particular kids and they did TRAIN for it by practicing where they would enter, go to, load up at, all of it.
I've seen it before and I didn't really like the movie. I just found it too dull and boring. I really like the idea, and it probably would have made a great short film, but the movie just dragged on.

You like the idea of school shootings? This is the same set up of Columbine, just different names.
It is a short film. Its supposed to drag on for the big ending. You like the idea of school shootings? This is the same set up of Columbine, just different names.
Well whether it's supposed to or not, I didn't like it anyways. and umm no I don't like school shootings. I mean I liked how they showed regular students in this with normal lives who all got caught up into this, and I also liked how they didn't over-dramatize the events. It was just like real life, although I think they went a bit too far with that what with all the walking and what not.
Pretty dark for a comedy.
