Hate me x2.
Spoilers:
The whole interview is basically "We all want to protect our investments" "BUT DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT THE FAMILY FEATURES!?"
Oh man when Steam came up Nelson went into total deflect mode. "CAN YOU NAME A STEAM GAME ON SALE RIGHT NOW JOE" I was honestly looking forward to an actual answer to Steam's sales.
He's there to ask you questions, dude, not market your console. We all knew that this was going to be an awkward video.
Dear Microsoft, Our internet is limited. After X amount of downloads we are charged extra for every gigabyte afterwards. Going cloud is only going to make managing our internet that much more difficult and will cost us more in the long run. How is this fair to us? Assuming we get your system, we are paying $500 and another $70 after that for each game. The cloud will be the end of you, just saying.

Also steam does have family sharing. It's called log onto that account using a computer that has been approved by the account owner. BAM!

Solution: Buy a PS4.
Nelson is one rude motherfucker. Everytime he interrupted I got so pissed off. All of his answers to what Joe was saying were mostly just the, "you don't know anything and i know it all" attitude.
I think it's pretty obvious that they're getting ready to compete with the steambox's digital downloading. They know that it will be able to
compete very well and also have access to PC Exclusive games. So they're doing their best to combat it, by trying to go digital and use a
cloud storage system. It really is understandable. But the marketing.... is terrible. They won't tell anyone their true goal.
This isn't making microsoft look any better. It's like they don't even give a shit about their own image anymore. Nelson just proves that on how much a prick he was to joe by the fact he pretty much tells Joe to "FUCK OFF" when he asks "Can't you just disable the 24-hour check in?"
They had the chance to not do any of this during Sim City's little fuss. They just ignored it. This isn't trying to rival anyone. It's just forcing something that people don't even like. They frame the publishers with it but in reality they built the system. Nobody forced them into doing this.
Well the trainwreck keeps rolling.
Logic says it should be easy for them to disable the 24 hour authentication.
If Microsoft deeply integrated the authentication into the foundations of the console programming-wise, they did a shit job and they need better programmers.
Fuck No they're not going to have sales like Steam, and the reason why was answered before he asked that question. They're now looking at how up to 10 people can have access to a single game, rather than one, since the 10 people family plan thing. If anything, games for Xbox will end up costing more in the near future than they already do everywhere else
"Microsoft: Because think of the children"
I get really pissed off when Joe asks Nelson if it's possible to disable the authentication and he just takes the microphone out of his hand. What a fucking prick.
