Me and my girlfriend watched this just the other night after buying the blu-ray.

I hadn't seen it since I was a kid (and back then it freaked me out) but it was a pretty solid film despite what some people would have you believe. It really reminds me of one of those weird animated French films like Gandahar or Fantastic Planet, but with more of a Disney edge.

Thinking about how this could turn out is very exciting.

The Dark Crystal is my favorite childhood movie. Followed by Starship Troopers since I was 13 when that came out.
