Cats don't use claws on hard surfaces. I let my cats play with my LCD screen if they want to, trying to catch the mouse. They understand that using their claws don't work, so they only use their paws.

Actually, it could be possible the cat was seeing it's reflection in the screen, and clawing at that.
I like the way he was scrolling to find that piano app, and the cat scrolled it back.
