I love the Blade Runner backgrounds in the future.
Are these the guys that did Vertical Video Syndrome?
lolmuppets.
Holy shit, that was actually really good
I'm surprised they didn't parody Primer somewhere in "time travelling is confusing"
There are so many possible universes out there, assuming travelling between them was possible you would never know where you were going or what time you were going to be in.
I'm worried about the music too. What if current BAD dubstep is the GOOD music old people mumble about? What is the bad music like?
Lol, go back in time with pennies and you'll be rich
There's also the thing about earth moving too, sou if you time travelled earth would be at a different spot :v: But I heard someone say that wormholes attach to the nearest field of gravity so I dunno, I know shit all about this stuff anyway v:v:v
Lol, go back in time with pennies and you'll be rich
Except they'll see a mint date from years into the future.
Kill Hitler and there'll be no reason to go back and kill Hitler, allowing Hitler to live until you go back and kill him,
I'm worried about the music too. What if current BAD dubstep is the GOOD music old people mumble about? What is the bad music like?
There's a comic on that. I believe it's by SMBC
Except they'll see a mint date from years into the future.
So what would be more valuable in the past and without date?

If you time travel to a different date then the one you're on couldn't you end up in space since the earth orbits around the sun.
I love it when time travel plots actually adhere to the "you can't change the past" / "you already changed the past" rule. Then you have movies like Looper ...
If you time travel to a different date then the one you're on couldn't you end up in space since the earth orbits around the sun.
Exactly. Space and everything in it is in constant motion. To move back in time just a day would have you either underground on the other side of the planet, or in orbit on the moon.
Exactly. Space and everything in it is in constant motion. To move back in time just a day would have you either underground on the other side of the planet, or in orbit on the moon.
Time travel is just over done.
Exactly. Space and everything in it is in constant motion. Doesn't the galaxy move at incomprehensible speeds as well? This is one of those issues that you just have to not over think, because otherwise we're going to have to ask something like 'what are we anchored to when time traveling, location-wise?'.

Would make an interesting doctor who episode, they go to a planet at some point in time, but when they walk out theres no planet because something must have happened to before their arrival that threw off the stellar drift calculations or messed up the cataloged location...
hey but if the time machine was strapped to the earth, and you were inside it, then surely it would all be grand, as the time machine (and you) would move with the orbit and rotation of the Earth. Also has anyone posted this yet: The Problem with Time Machines [xkcd]
Lol, go back in time with pennies and you'll be rich
"Are you fucking with me, son? All these pennies say they're from 1986. It's 1932..."
Go into the past, obtain something common, yet somewhat expensive during that time. Go into the future, sell it in mint perfect condition for tons of money. Repeat.
I love it when time travel plots actually adhere to the "you can't change the past" / "you already changed the past" rule. Then you have movies like Looper ...
That's called an ontological paradox, in which the only reason someone travels back into the past is because of information they create while they're there, which they recover in the present and travel back.
Go into the past, obtain something common, yet somewhat expensive during that time. Go into the future, sell it in mint perfect condition for tons of money. Repeat.
I would show people what the internet is, just to see their reaction. I'd show it by getting music, videos, pictures, information etc. from all around the world, and tell how easy it is.
I just finished watching Back to the Future Part 2 and decided to hop on Facepunch. What are the odds of that
That was really funny, might watch more from these guys.
I dont like time traveling in general because of the whole paradox thing. Also Sonic 06 ruined time travel for me.
If you time travel to a different date then the one you're on couldn't you end up in space since the earth orbits around the sun.
Assuming you will be time travelling in relation to the sun. Sun is not the center of the universe. It orbits around the center of our galaxy which orbits around other galaxies, which orbit around blah blah blah. There is no static point of reference in the universe to which you will not move. Everything moves in relation to anything else, so it's not possible to guess where you will end up with that theory, so I will say that you will have a method to set the coordinates of your arrival or you could arrive into a same/similar time machine, which implies that you couldn't go into the time before it was built. tl;dr: Everything in the universe moves in relation to everything else and there is no static natural coordinates as to where you will end up.
