Also there will probably be a sale when 5.4 hits like they did with 5.2 and 5.3 where you can get a bunch of expansions super cheap. Also PM me you email so I can RAF you.
Damn, I haven't played WoW since 2008. I feel so out of the loop.

Doesn't Hellscream usually have like a ponytail. Or did he loose his hair since Warcraft 3?
Having never played WoW, this was completely fucking ridiculous. Like, try and put yourself into the position of an outsider for a minute. A giant Orange Orc and maybe 30 or so jackoffs go attack some place in China, comes across a [B]giant talking Panda,[/B] proceeds to exchange very generic, grim lines, and then [B]fights said giant talking Panda.[/B] I'm sorry but this right here is the ultimate answer to why people have trouble getting into this game. I'm not saying any of it is bad or poorly made, but everybody has names that sound like they were ripped from a Norwegian phrasebook and, lest we forget, [B]giant talking pandas.[/B] I know I will get a lot of flak for this but believe me, I am not trying to say it is stupid. I am just trying to show fans why people who never played the series don't get into it and why there is so little respect for those who do.

Just make another warcraft rts you dumb neeeerds
[QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]Having never played WoW, this was completely fucking ridiculous. -rant- [/QUOTE] If you have no invested interest in the Warcraft universe, why do you feel so strongly about this?

Every time a Warcraft video isn't made with CGI I weep a little.
[QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]Having never played WoW[/QUOTE] Well there is the problem right there. if you have played the game you would know this makes perfect sense [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]Like, try and put yourself into the position of an outsider for a minute. A giant Orange Orc and maybe 30 or so jackoffs[/quote] 30? try an entire orc empire, they are called the 'horde' for a reason, they are so many. [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]go attack some place in China, comes across a [B]giant talking Panda,[/B][/quote] Totally not as weird as aliens fighting alongside gnomes, and trolls fighting with giant cows. [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]proceeds to exchange very generic, grim lines, and then [B]fights said giant talking Panda.[/B] [/quote] The 'sad pandas' are a race that have been in the WOW mythos since the very beggining they are a peacefull race. [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]but everybody has names that sound like they were ripped from a Norwegian phrasebook [/quote] That's because it's fantasy and if they all had names like Dave and bob and lisa it would be weird. [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]I know I will get a lot of flak for this but believe me, I am not trying to say it is stupid. I am just trying to show fans why people who never played the series don't get into it and why there is so little respect for those who do.[/QUOTE] And i have no respect for people that have little to no imagination.
[QUOTE=JustGman;41849389]The writing has gotten progressively worse over the expansions.[/QUOTE] Can you please expand on this? While I disagree with that statement, I want to know where you are coming from. In my personal opinion some of the quest line writing has been the best this expansion.
[QUOTE=Fangz;41849528]Can you please expand on this? While I disagree with that statement, I want to know where you are coming from. In fact pretty much everything that happens now boils down to "it was the old gods".
[QUOTE=_Maverick_;41849519]Well there is the problem right there. if you have played the game you would know this makes perfect sense[/QUOTE] Your missing the point entirely. Of course it makes perfect sense to somehow who played the fucking game, but this doesn't have to do with it not making sense. It is easy to understand what is going on. Some big evil guys attack a place and the good guys ( or guy or panda or whatever) try to stop them. [QUOTE=Maverick]30? try an entire orc empire, they are called the 'horde' for a reason, they are so many.[/QUOTE] Um, no, did you watch the fucking video? You see maybe 30 orcs in it at best, ignoring the fluff material. This is Blizzard we are talking about, and they could have easily rendered at least a hundred different Orcs if they actually cared about effort. To someone on the outside, you have to show what is actually going on. I can't see 30 dudes and imply that there is more because it is never stated or shown or even implied in the trailer. [QUOTE=Maverick]Totally not as weird as aliens fighting alongside gnomes, and trolls fighting with giant cows.[/QUOTE] Yes, those are all weird things. You know what else they have in common? All of them happen in WoW. It is silly, and I don't see the defense you are trying to build. [QUOTE=Maverick][noparse][QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308][/noparse]proceeds to exchange very generic, grim lines, and then [B]fights said giant talking Panda.[/B] The 'sad pandas' are a race that have been in the WOW mythos since the very beggining they are a peacefull race.[/QUOTE] It doesn't matter how long the fucking pandas have existed, that isn't the point. The point is that giant talking pandas that do Kung Fu or Karate or whatever generic East Asian bullshit Blizzard calls it is completely ridiculous and non nonsensical. Also, thanks for butchering the BBCode there. [QUOTE=Maverick]That's because it's fantasy and if they all had names like Dave and bob and lisa it would be weird.[/QUOTE] Point taken. [QUOTE=Maverick]And i have no respect for people that have little to no imagination.[/QUOTE] Where does imagination fit into any of this? What do you want me to imagine, hm? Because I can imagine many cool things, but giant fucking pandas aren't one of them.
[QUOTE=JustGman;41849605]Garrosh was a dick but it was for the right reasons, come MoP he's orc hitler roided up on magic old god powers trying to murder everyone. In fact pretty much everything that happens now boils down to "it was the old gods".[/QUOTE] His transition was explained in the companion book Tides of War, and the cancelled pre-event for MoP. Basically after the Dragonmaw joined the horde in Cataclysm they had become Garrosh's yes men, and telling him he could do no wrong. They then convinced him that he shouldn't have felt guilty for what happened in Stolentalon Mountains, since Tauren were a 'lesser race'. The book focuses on his down spiral, as well as the whole Theramore incident. While this should have been explained better in the game, the explanation was released before MoP came out. Meh, the "wow" feeling I remember was vanilla and BC. Too easy these days
[QUOTE=Fangz;41849708] I see a contradiction.[/QUOTE] he said this [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]... I am not trying to say it is stupid.[/QUOTE] and then went on a rant how ridiculous pandas are sorry bananafoam but you're gonna have to try again
am i really supposed to buy the fact that there's a macguffin in the WoW universe that will instantly make you stronger than either the Lich King or Deathwing if you throw it into a pool like illidan both made a pact with sargeras and consumed the soul of an ancient sorcerer to get to where he was, and he's chump change at this point I am glad that they finally learned how animation works in the game engine. Wish they could have figured that out earlier so that the fall of the lich king didn't look like a goddamn puppet show put together by a twelve year old.

It is more of a gameplay overrides story situation.
and pandas are totally fucking retarded and would never have been brought in if this series didn't rely almost entirely on exploiting every last shred of nostalgia available
[QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849665]Your missing the point entirely. Of course it makes perfect sense to somehow who played the fucking game, but this doesn't have to do with it not making sense. It is easy to understand what is going on. [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849665]Yes, those are all weird things. You know what else they have in common? All of them happen in WoW. It is silly, and I don't see the defense you are trying to build. [/quote] I don't have any idea what you are trying to rebuit here. it's a fiction game. fantasy. if it didn't have all these silly things it would be the most boring game on the planet [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849665] It doesn't matter how long the fucking pandas have existed, that isn't the point. The point is that giant talking pandas that do Kung Fu or Karate or whatever generic East Asian bullshit Blizzard calls it is completely ridiculous and non nonsensical. Also, thanks for butchering the BBCode there. [/quote] Asian based animals doing asian based forms of combat. seems... pretty logical to me. i'd find it weird if they where doing african style warfare. also about the BBCode (which i fixed in an edit.) I'm writting from a PS3, errors are almost unavoidable[ [QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849665]Where does imagination fit into any of this? What do you want me to imagine, hm? Because I can imagine many cool things, but giant fucking pandas aren't one of them.[/QUOTE] No wonder you can't get into fantasy if you demand everything be normal and mundane
[QUOTE=Fangz;41849838]I wouldn't look too much into it. It is more of a gameplay overrides story situation.[/QUOTE] That's why this whole thing is getting goddamn ridiculous. It's turning into DBZ, where every season no matter how the strongest in the universe the last enemy was, there has to be a new enemy who's even stronger. Then you look back and realize that everything before the current fight is horribly insignificant by comparison. Mists of Pandaria is the Buu saga of World of Warcraft.
[QUOTE=can man;41849742]Meh, the "wow" feeling I remember was vanilla and BC. Too easy these days[/QUOTE] Man, I absolutely [i]loved[/i] The Outlands. I hope the next expansion will have more stuff like it if it's gonna be about the Burning Legion. Even though I haven't touched WoW in ages, it'll be good to know Blizzard is doing more of it.
[QUOTE=BananaFoam;41849308]Having never played WoW, this was completely fucking ridiculous. Like, try and put yourself into the position of an outsider for a minute. Talking pandas are probably one of the more normal things that have appeared in the Warcraft universe, there's always been a lot of silly things in it, it's one of the reasons people like it. That's fine if it isn't your cup of tea but you're saying "this is why people can't get into this game" as if it isn't one of the most popular and longest running games of all time. [QUOTE=Mr. Scorpio;41849896]That's why this whole thing is getting goddamn ridiculous. Mists of Pandaria is the Buu saga of World of Warcraft.[/QUOTE] You're missing the point, they are more powerful purely in terms of gameplay, not in lore. Just because a max level can go back and kill Illidan on their own does not make them more powerful than in Illidan in lore. Unless you do get the point, in which case I'm not sure why you'd find it ridiculous since the same concept exists in every single game where enemies get harder as you progress.
Will the Horde and the Alliance fight together in this? That would be neat.
Now if only combat in WoW was that exciting.
[QUOTE=_Maverick_;41849519]The 'sad pandas' are a race that have been in the WOW mythos since the very beggining they are a peacefull race. [/QUOTE] uhh no i'm pretty sure they haven't
