Remember when this was going to be one of the launch titles for the PS3/Xbox360?

I wouldn't hype about it, I've been waiting a good 8 years

Actually, I don't, because I don't think it was ever supposed to be a launch title on consoles, being PC centric game. Do correct me if I'm wrong though. They were developing it for PS3 and 360 at some point but I'm pretty sure it never was a launch title and never really took off.
Jesus christ, it sounds cool but all they have shown off is the weird tech demo training things.
How far are they really into development? It's been a very long time. I know it's an indie game and things take a long time especially if it's an ambitious project, but they haven't shown off enough to make me consider buying.
Were those fucking tiger sharks? All of my money.
They never said it was a launch title :v:

Well they announced it before the consoles were out, I seem to remember them saying launch title. I don't trust them with 1 cent to be honest.
I remember playing a 3d demo where all you could do was walk around and check out models. Still haven't picked it up, though. Should I? Could someone convince me?

Your choice really, I think. They've had some rough patches in the past which is why the development has been slow, but they're picking the pace up again it seems. They've currently got the shooting range thing(Bullseye), mobile shooting/rudimentary AI test(Running Man), and the multiplayer test(Deadlock) on the site currently, although I dunno which of these are available to who.
The Steam version currently has a sandbox like map, the deadlock maps as separate levels to just check out, and then the Deadlock itself although it's servers aren't up yet.
As to the general feel of the game, it's pretty good so far, shooting is solid, movement is solid, they've got all sorts of trickery with audo positioning etc. But I can't really promise anything about the game, so your best choice is to just check the site out and read about the game there.
How have they managed to get so little done in 8 years.
The game could be fun, but there's nothing grabbing my interest in terms of gameplay. The visuals are also incredibly boring
