As someone who has never played this, should I buy this remaster?

The original is considered one of the greatest games of all time, and this is pretty much a direct improvement over the original so now's a good a time as any I suppose.
I wish I could play this on PC.
The original was without a doubt one of the best games I've ever played.

It looks like some of the physics are a bit off but I'd play both
I never played this as I was an Xbox fag, but now I have a PS4, so am keen to try it when it releases. I do have a question though: are there any mobs that aren't 99999999feet tall in the game?

Yeah. All off the colossi significantly bigger than the player but they vary greatly in size depending on the "puzzle" they're associated with. Without spoiling, the original game also had some small local wildlife...
Wonder if the cut Colossi will be put in the remake

IIRC they said no new / unused content, just what was already there.

There are 16 Colossi of varying size in the game. They are the only enemies. The only other creatures are birds and lizards, the latter of which sometimes have silver tails you can collect to increase your stamina.

Such a shame. Was really wanting the monkey, spider, and giraffe Colossi to show up.

Is it going to have the same fucked up grabbing the HD remaster had?
Is it going to have the same fucked up grabbing the HD remaster had?
That's because the HD remaster used the European version which was significantly harder then the US version
What was different about it? I've only ever played the European version.

It was much easier to grip onto the Colossi and you weren't thrown around as much

Oooof. This is funny, but now I'm kind of worried about the overall quality of this remaster. It's one thing to look good.

Reviews will be telling, but given the DF said he had cleared 7 Colossi and didn't mention buggy physics issues, I'd say instances will be few and far in between and likely won't be anything to worry about. We'll see though. Bluepoint definitely flexing their muscles on this one, I'm excited to see if they try their hand at their own IP again after this. The team seems to be in full form now.

From what I can tell it should work fine as a Shadow of the Colossus remaster. I highly recommend the game too, it's a phenomenal experience beginning to end.

That explains a lot. Doing Time Attack with Gaius was pretty much impossible on the ps3 version due to not having enough time to attack his gut because I'd get thrown around at the slightest movement.

If you get the PS4 version make sure to turn on the filter that makes it look like the original
Never thought I'd be so excited for a remaster but here I am. SoTC is one of my favorites of all time and I'm so glad that this is really looking to do the original justice.
