Key point is that unpaid internships are illegal and worthless. Which I agree with.
My dad has the hardest time trying to get interns because the company he works for refuses to pay them. These kids 18-25 are going to a trade school to learn camera work/video production and probably pay something like 20k a year to attend, and they aren't really employable without portfolios or past experience. Its hard for them to choose between getting relevant work experience or flipping burgers to get a low but steady income.

I find him to be more like that fun sub you had in middle school who taught you shit irrelevant to the course at hand but was presented in a way that was waaaaay more interesting than what was normally on offer, and was also probably doing cocaine and/or adderall in the parking lot before his shift started.
He's smarmy, and you wouldn't wanna ever hang out with him on your own time, but he can put on a good presentation and is entertaining as hell.

Mine is literally stuck behind an internship I'll never get.
ive found pretty good internships in my time, last summer I had a 13/hr and right now I'm applying at a lab that offers 17/hr , sounds like im p lucky
i've heard some horror stories about unpaid internships though, its just volunteer work, and its terrible that its pretty much one of the only ways to get work experience before breaking into the workforce of whatever you wanna go into
now this is much better. the last couple clips ive seen of the show seem to just be nitpicky bullshit that doesn't matter, this one actually means something.

most engineering internships end up being a gateway into being employed at the same company, especially if you express interest and impress your hiring manager/directors while interning there
my internship at a software company was basically on-par with regular employee work except less was expected out of me(fuckups were fine as long as you didnt kill the master repository somehow) and i was basically paid the same amount if i was working full-time at a lower-end company too
