So, confused: Frontier made RTC3, who's making RTC World?
i.e., which should I get
I love how this is shaping up. Their animations are so fantastic. It looks like a quirky real time pixar movie, and it looks like it's something I've wanted from a coaster game since I was a kid. I'm so glad these guys started some competition for the dying rotting industry that Tycoon threw away.

Nvizzio Creations
The animation is fucking incredible. I love the idea of path congestion and the animations associated with that, too. You can tell this is a passion project.
Fuck man, I'm so happy that this and RCT:W are coming out. This could honestly immediately sweep GOTY 2016 for me at this rate, and that's despite Deus Ex:MK in the same year.
I just hope they dont do what they did with Elite: Dangerous by leaving the base game in a very boring state while sectioning off other parts of the game as $35 DLC
RCTW will probably be a failure. Sure it has decent graphics and an okay coaster builder but from what I've seen, that's it. It will nowhere be as packed with features as RCT3. Rumor has it, it won't even have the basic scenery options (by that I mean stackable scenery made of single pieces) which is crucial to this series, if you ask me. Also the peeps will most likely look like they are generated without any charme like the peeps in Theme Park Studio.
Planet Coaster on the other hand looks way better: the peeps are crafted and animated with love, the coasters are spline based as well, as far as you can see in the bit of material we have seen so far and of course if you have brought a series to a peak you don't aim to disappoint with an inofficial sequel (unless you're EA or Ubisoft) which is why I count on Planet Coaster having almost just as much features and content as the RCT3 base game.

Wait before reviewers can get their hands on/you see actual gameplay of the final game.
So far RCT World has me interested for its awesome coaster designer but Planet Coaster is now getting my attention because of its detail to the thing that makes your park run good, the people who go into your rides.

Also Frontier already won me with RCT3, most of the RCT3 team works on this.
The people look so real that I'm actually scared of what /B/ will do to them this time around.
This looks like their pouring in all their love for this game and that's a good thing. I haven't seen that much devotion since RCT1 & 2.
This kind of pre-release dev talk reminds me of how impassioned the Cities Skylines devs were in bringing back a decaying genre. And that game turned out great.

Also in case people defend RCT:W and say "Yeah but its still in development":
Rollercoaster Tycoon World is to be released this December the 10th this year and Planet Coaster has a release date all the way in Q4 2016.
All I care about is if guests can die.

RCTW, switched developer 3 times, it was based on "Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 Mobile". Which is why at some point the assets looked like a ps2 game.
Pipeworks Software -> Area 52 Games -> Nvizzio Creations
Nvizzio Creations has never released any title before.
Area 52 Games is defunct
Pipeworks Software made a selection of shit games, poker/dance/tabletop games, and a few ports and hd releases.
Maybe it'll end up being actually half decent, but right now its looking pretty grim.
I remember hearing about a kickstarted theme park simulator, and its main gimmick was that you also had to take into account the staff needs and build staff-only areas so that shops can be restocked. That sounded like a neat idea, anyone know what it was?

It could be Parkitect: http://www.themeparkitect.com/
It's in a pretty solid pre-alpha state right now available for every buyer. You can build paths for staff only but as far as I know the peeps' needs and the financial situation are something that has no high priority right now.
It could also have been Theme Park Studio, which turned out to be a joke if you ask me.

Yeah, it was Parkitect I was thinking of. Actually, I thought I saw it on your youtube channel, but it's not there so whatever.
Looks alright, but now with these new big games coming out it's gonna have a hard time staying afloat.
