ONLY ON XBOX ONE?!!! you are kidding me...
only xbone
meh
The humor and silliness was always the most memorable thing about Dead Rising.
You take that away, and make it serious, you take away the soul.
It's like if Gearbox made a Borderlands game without the randomly-generated loot, or if Bethesda made an Elder Scrolls game with lots of voice actors.
Uhm wow where the hell is the silly outfits and one-liners? The vibrant environments?
This is dead rising?
I'm all for changing but that's usually a gameplay change. Not a game feel change.

How much do you want to bet, it's Capcom yet again wrongly believing that westernizing their franchises will get them more customers?

Yet we could hear a windows error pop up during gameplay...

Hey, it happened with Lost Planet 3, they took all uniqueness out of the series and turned it into a really, really boring looking cover shooter.
Fuck you Microsoft
What an awful color palette
capcom just blew their foot off by making it Xbone exclusive
Goddammit Capcom stop butchering all your IPs
Yeah, Xbox One exclusive combined with a shitty atmosphere is definitely going to kill Dead Rising 3's reception.
I think people will buy it, but it's not going to be the success that DR1 & 2 were. By simply making DR3 an Xbox One exclusive, they've already shut out PS3 gamers, PS4 gamers, PC gamers, and Xbox 360-only gamers. That's a huge chunk of the market that's not going to be buying DR3.

Look from what the series went to. Jesus did they ruin the series. Thank god this piece of shit is only available on the xbox one
its a shame they're isolating the fan base with this. Its true dead rising 1 was 360 exclusive, but with dead rising 2 I'd hoped that they had grown up a little and would release this one multiplat. Ever since I heard the leaked plot details on this I've been keen, and even though its gritty and so..lifeless, I still wanna give it a go.
But oh well. Still not getting an Xbone.

And Capcom.
Where's the mall? D:
looks meh
Am I the only one that thought Dead Rising 2 did almost everything wrong?
It had the potential to be amazing, but there were way too many problems.
You could only jog at a slow pace, so it took ages to get anywhere, literally every single mission was an escort mission or a ridiculous boss battle, loading screens everywhere! And the save function is probably the worst I've ever seen. You have to find one of the very few toilets around the map and save there, and if you die you have to retrace all your goddamn steps. It's like the intentionally made everything as far away from the toilets as possible. If you couldn't kill the boss or escort those people on your first go, you'd end up right back at the start and have you go all the way over there again.
Killing zombies was fun, but it gets old after the same 3 hours of walking.
What happened to riding around on a tricycle in a pink unitard killing zombies?
Wow they sure killed the Dead Rising franchise, that artillery strike part is the worst.

My biggest gripe with DR 2 and OTR is how crippled they made throwing items. Fuck in DR1 you were like a goddamn ninja with CDs, plates, and jewelry when you were maxed out. Plus I liked the setting of the original mall more than DR2's.
Just find a way to give me DR 1 again on PS3/PS4 and let the series die, Capcom's already fucked it hard enough
DR2: Case Zero is a better game than what DR3 looks like right now.
they sucked the life out of Dead Rising
they zombified it, if you will

A Zombie Zombie game? This shit is getting absurd
actually, it honestly looks like a huge improvement over the second. the second had the same look as the first, but with slower and duller combat. this looks like a complete visual overhaul, while bringing the first's more arcadey combat back. look at how fast he moves, how sharp he turns, how much weight are in his hits, throwing zombies a massive distance, flips.
i was skeptical when i saw the gritty look, but the gameplay looks very true to what made the first one so great. what are you people complaining about? the character even made wisecracks.
I don't get why you're complaining about it being DARK and GRITTY. It still looks like an arcade game, and it probably will not try to take itself seriously. Hopefully there will be costumes and fun times, but we really can't judge an entire game from less that 2 minutes of footage.

I'm not seeing the arcadey combat.

then you're remembering dr1 wrong. the player moves EXACTLY like frank did. same speed and weight and ridiculous moves. did you not see him spin a zombie around in a circle and let go? punch one in the face and have the screen shake? knock down a fence with a football tackle?
anybody want to tell me how that's gritty and realistic?
something tells me all the original moves are going to be in the game too, they just haven't showed them off yet. mark my word you're gonna be seeing kick flips and double lariats v soon. but mainly, it's the character speed and hit impact that is the same or similar enough to the first game. that is where 2 really failed, chuck felt weak and slow as all heck.
Honestly, after Dead Rising 2, I did want them to cut back on the 'silliness' a bit.
I'd like to see it be a little more like Dead Rising 1.
It does look like they've probably toned it back a bit too far, but it's only like 3 minutes of gameplay, we'll need to see more before we can really start getting upset.
Also, how can you really say this is "gritty and realistic"? Did everyone somehow miss the weapon he was wielding in like half of this trailer?
