I'm always excited for more Gunkata
Now i want a Equilibrium skin for him :v:
I'm far from a fan of fighting games in general, but I won't lie when I say that Red Hood actually looks pretty fun to play to me, just for the gun-oriented moves.
Wish they would of gone with Jensen Ackles instead for his voice.
For those who have bought the game, how is it? Is it worth buying?
Wish they would of gone with Jensen Ackles instead for his voice.
Seconded. Jensen did a great job in the "Under the Red Hood" movie, plus since they're including more characters from the CW shows it would have helped bring more familiarity.
It's a fantastic fighter.
Is it still that move backwards to block? where everyone just ends up walking away from each other half of the fight? or did they add an actual block button this time?
Is it still that move backwards to block? where everyone just ends up walking away from each other half of the fight? or did they add an actual block button this time?
Injustice has always been walk back block
Injustice has always been walk back block
Wasn't the only reason MK has a block button in the first was to differ itself from Street Fighter and they haven't changed it since it's been a part of the series forever? Since Injustice is a new IP, they started to use hold back to block like almost every other fighter. I could have sworn I read that in an interview or something.
Is it still that move backwards to block? where everyone just ends up walking away from each other half of the fight? or did they add an actual block button this time?
Not to shit on you, but most fighting games use walk back block: Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Tekken (iirc). Mortal Kombat is one of the few games to my knowledge that have a dedicated block button, Soul Calibur has it too I think.
I have to admit I prefer a block button but it makes cross-ups fairly useless.

I was hoping netherrealm would go back to what made their games look cool/cinematic, walking back to block looks very old school and clunky to me. Pulls me out of the game a lot.
Back to block adds a lot of mixup opportunities and also encourages downback to block. That's why overheads are tricky for a lot of traditional fighters. Downback also means you're not walking away the whole fight

But they of course want to add it cause that reels in the street fighter fans. Redhood looks like he's super fun to play though, reminds me a bit of Erron Black. It's also how a lot of mixups are done in most fighting games because push block also adds another layer of the ambiguity between left/right, up/down, meaty/throw etc. In terms of 2d fighters, MK is the only series that does button block, and it gets a lot of flak for it especially since MKX has really dumb setups that require to block up/down frame perfect.
Could just make the character not turn around if the player is still holding block?
I can't see that working, fighting games are already throwing so much info at you.
For those who have bought the game, how is it? Is it worth buying?
Definitely. Especially if you have played Injustice 1, it's amazing. Pretty much everything got better in the game compared to Injustice 1. We also have a thread for it with its own guild if people are interested in joining us for more loot.
I just started playing this and I'm pretty bad but ive been in practice mode trying to learn combos. How you guys remember the different combos for every character is beyond me. I'm learning aqua man and will just stick with him
