Oh boy
i was going to post this right after watching, but there's still 10 minutes left
holy shit what a 3 year farce
$10 Romine sues Sterling for defamation over this video
Felt he drifted off towards the end, still entertaining to watch though
dear god the guy behind digital homicide is an idiot

People who steal content and are adults rarely are intelligent or talented folk :v:
I think the most amazing thing I learned from this whole video, is that Romine had never once directly talked to Jim Sterling; and hid behind others, like his brother, to talk for him.
this whole video is brutal
this entire story was pretty silly from the starting gates and somehow got even more insane over the course of the entire shebang
I don't even know what to call this scenario beyond utter lunacy that somehow rationalized itself to go even farther than was needed
Jesus christ way to play yourself, digital homicide.
james romine jr is a fucking snake and should be very happy the case closed the way it did. it could have gone a lot worse for him.
I had totally expected Jim to take this further and to have Romine pay his legal fees, but alas. In one way it feels a bit anticlimactic to see the case end like this, but it makes the whole situation all the more scathing in the sense that Jim came out not only victorious but seeming like the bigger man.
But to Romine it might just end up feeling like an achievement to have incurred some financial costs to Jim, and he'll take consolation in that. And the world will keep spinning.

I think that probably would have ruined the guy's life tbh. He probably wouldn't be able to afford it, so his wages would be garnished by the government, which is bad news. He could in theory be unable to make a living as a result. I think Jim is too nice of a guy to be able to live with that kind of thing on his mind. It wouldn't be a victory at all really at that point.
holy FUCK 15 million? Just what was DH trying to accomplish by shoving the exact same thing with more stuff added and a few things changed for 3 years?
The end of the video, though. Caught me off guard.
I have NO idea how Digital Homicide thought this was gonna play out in any way other than really badly for them.

It's not just that.
He literaly had no cards to play. No way this would end up well for him.
And on top of that, he didn't even stop and give a look and a thought at his own work, to see how it was a waste of disk space. He didn't stop to think that he wasn't right about Sterling. He didn't stop to think that the compensations he asked time and time again, were not even of this world.
What he did, is actually the real world personification of my greatest fears and nightmares: doing something that fucks up your life up to a slightly less than modest level, and your actions after it further fucking it up even further, or getting fucked by itself even more, to a level from where there is no way out.
And when I say fucking up your life, I really do mean it. Literaly "all is well" getting turned into "in line for the electric chair" kind of shit.
Like if you ran someone over and your lawyer said it would be fine and would get you free, but then the victim asks for compensations, and after that, the victim ends up dying and you get accused of manslaughter, which then turns into first degree murder for some weird reason. But I digress.
He was REALLY lucky it didn't go deeper than it did. His life would be in shambles otherwise.
Jimquisition: The Movie.
I wonder of Romaine even understands how lucky he is that the person he was suing just wanted it over with
If he ended up having to pay Jim's lawyers fee's that would literally be the biggest slap in the fucking reality
I have almost no doubts that it would have gone down that way too. Man with no lawyers trying to sue for fraudulent reasons.

I guess you could say that Jim is being the bigger man by not counter-suing.
