This can either turn out to be really awesome or really bad.
This can either turn out to be really awesome or really bad.
or maybe about average.
or maybe about average.
Nah, MMO's always turn out very good or very bad
from what ive read it seems to be like tor / wow (fully voiced, typical mmo rpg hotkey combat, third person, etc) but just with an elder scrolls theme. sad.
No thanks Bethesda
I wish I had that guys voice
So you fight for the crown of Skyrim, etc or something. And all the lands and choose to a evil fucker.
I am really REALLY skeptical about this.
So you fight for the crown of Skyrim, etc or something. And all the lands and choose to a evil fucker.
but tiber septim conquers the world with a giant robot later on anyway so what's the point i mean you might as well be fighting for the rights to a house scheduled to be demolished by a fucking GIANT ROBOT RIDDEN BY A DRAGONBORN
Teaser =/= Trailer
Why can't Bethesda just rerelease Morrowind on a new engine. That's all I am asking for.
The music gave me a fucking massive boner
Holy shit Michael Gambon voiceover.
It shows fucking nothing.
It shows fucking nothing.
that kind of wasn't the point? EDIT: It's a teaser, not a trailer rofl
Not sure if this was said before on this thread but this is very probably going to turn out like a very generic MMO : - there will be no first person view at all - conversation with NPCs will be much more limited than in the original series - you won't be able to own a house - combat will be based on hotkeys and skills with cooldown - there will not be free roaming as made in TES : different countries and zones will be level locked There are a few good things announced about it, as there will be open dungeons rather than private instances as well as massive Realm vs Realm events that will involve three factions and will lead to the naming of a new emperor of Tamriel among one of the players. I am still skeptical about those choices as well, as it sounds a lot like it will be very hard to ever loot anything on very populated servers because of the public dungeon thing, and the RvR events will very probably lead to big server issues, like any other massive events in any other MMOs ever made.
Well the game might turn out bad, but I'm pretty sure the soundtrack will be fucking awesome.

Personally I'd much rather have Bethesda work on an original sequel that includes restricted online coop rather than some generic MMO or some Morrowind remake.

Maybe they did it right this time? isn't that fairly common in MMO's? - Well it's an MMO so I guess that's a bit of a given, but a shame, maybe they can fix that - Can't own a house? theres tons of MMO's like that too, you know, and how would they immediatly add that? - Kind of like most MMO's ever out there? - If you can still get to different countries then whats the issue? Isn't that the FUN of leveling up? going deeper into the areas as you level up rather than just having it all at once? and who knows, maybe they have TS style fighting. I hope to god they do.
Nah, MMO's always turn out very good or very bad
Really? Most look like half-assed WoW skins to me, which sounds about average.

It's sad that they wasted so much potential on making another MMO they hope will get players just by brand recognition. But I have no problem with zones being level locked, except I can't imagine any immersive way to do it
It sounds good but you know Bethesda and their glitches.

Also first person view is one of the best things about TES because it's one of the reasons the game is so immersive, as you are directly into the action while a third person view takes you a bit further to the action. Oh and how about making every country viable regardless of your level, but include inside each country a level curve which means you can basically level up from 1 to max in any country you want in a different way and have to move in different zones INSIDE a single country rather than having to move from country to country to follow your level ? Ok cool so do owners of the previous games get it for free?
Ok cool so do owners of the previous games get it for free?
Where is the logic here
Michael Motherfucking Gambon
Maybe it will become the first MMO with armors without ridiculously large shoulder pads?
