Looks pretty great, I haven't enjoyed Battlefield since Bad Company 2, everything since then has been too same-ish

According to the developers it was because WW1 was the dawn of massive scale warfare and the first battlefields took place that used modern warfare techniques so they thought the title BF 1 would fit since its both WW1 and it was the "modern" battlefield

Definitely got potential. I've certainly always thought World War 1 was a very underutilized war for video games. Probably because it was quite bleak and deadly and not very conducive to good gameplay. :v:

Anyway, I was really hoping for 2143 but I'll take WWI. At least I guess you still have a reason to go back to BF4 if you need to scratch that modern warfare itch.

To be fair, it's not like there has been a Battlefield 1 or "Battlefield". The first one was Battlefield 1942, and hell Battlefield 2 was the 3rd main game in the series.
