Xbox One

Not sure how these two compare to current-gen, but I'm seeing good stuff from PS4's.
The graphics are ok.
The gameplay looks more like a half-assed Burnout copy.
Also weapons in NFS, seriously?

Since HP2010.

Funnily enough people said that Burnout was nothing more than a copy of NFS when it first came out
Should've used the title 'Burnout Rivals'.
This is all i've seen of this game but it just looks like hot pursuit: again.
I think I saw a free roam police chase at one point which I always thought they cut from hot pursuit because there was loads of like hiding places by the road similar to the first most wanted.
Looks pretty boring. I'll probably still get it though :v:

should've used the title 'basically mario kart but with fast cars'
Both look basically identical, but either EA is using some shit textures or the AA is failing hard in places.
Bloody hell, the amount of post processing effects on NFS these days is pretty obnoxious.
how NFS rivals was made(for the confused ones)
-take the source code of Hot Pursuit 2010
-port Seacrest County to Frostbite 3
-add few roads and some city-ish details
-porting the "weapons"
-added customization "personalisation" or simply ricing material
-hired bunch of sweds to work with this game
-paying loadsofemoney to the ricing kids superstar Ken Block to promote this shit
-buying Ferrari license for some kinda reason
-making it impossible to play on 32bit systems in high detail
Wow it's Burnout Paradise with weapons.
Is it just me or did the Xbox one look noticeably worse than the Playstation?

There's probably a difference, but it isn't noticeable to me. At least, the difference is completely drowned in the Youtube compression.

No, that's Blur.
I don't understand the constant comparison of this and HP2010 to Burnout. MW2012, sure. The only connection I can see for the others is that cars can be wrecked. Does that make FlatOut, Carmageddon, and a shitload of other games Burnout, too?
Just makes me want to play burnout Revenge or 3 instead of spending money on this game. When they introduced the takedown system in Burnout it became a fucking amazing game.

Flatout pretty much WAS an attempt to steal some of the burnout money though. but youhave to consider Burnout capitalized on the car destruction/ crash feature. That was the whole point. It's the goto game for destroying cars while racing. so if a racing game introduces destruction physics then yeah, it's going to be compared to burnout. especially when they look so damn simular.
A game can't have both good crashes and licensed cars.
It's the #1 thing I didn't like about NFS: Most Wanted (The new one)
The driving looks like more like Hot Pursuit 2010 than burnout.
I played the shit out of HP10, and still play it today with friends. I'll deffo be getting this one.
Customization, whoop.
Let me take you on a nostalgy trip.

Bah, that was Hot pursuit 2, now this....this is the HP that spawned 'em all.

Seeing that Diablo SV and the CLKGTR makes me grin like a madman. :D
please make a real hot pursuit game. no highway wide two lane roads, no over styling, varied environments (atlantica was awesome), and challenging tracks; like the original hot pursuit
Might just be Youtube but I can't see a huge difference on this one. The PS4 version looks crisper (maybe higher res? I dunno), but overall they look very similar.

I think the only thing that's nice about this one is that Ferrari's are back, after so long of being out of the franchise. But that's it.
The camera movements from the game play video made me nauseous, the postprocessing effects are annoying as hell and the weapons are blasphemy to the series.
I get that series should evolve and stuff, but this....this is turning out to be one of those franchises which don't know what it should be anymore, like it's having an identity crisis of its own now.

And no drift to turn.
I wish Need for Speed would go back to its roots

I still remember a cheat where when you hit the select button on the controller all the AI traffic would just launch a thousand feet into the air.
That game's playing on a console with a 12.5mhz processor, and it cost $700 new. Fucking technology, man
