A similar thing happened to an older friend of mine. He went to Europe, but his luggage got stolen along with all his passports and ways to contact anyone. For a month he stayed in a stranger's house who helped him out with no need of returning the favor.
Fuck, teared up when I heard he passed away. It's good to know that society isn't completely down the gutter. My condolences go to him.
He seemed like a very kind man, sad that he never got to go to New York with the guys who made this.
