God this game is so bad...
It's supposed to be "bad", it's a parody of Saints Row 3 in a way.

And it's all the better for it. Most fun game I've played in a long time.

It's obviously not a game for everyone. Some people just get really tired of nonstop lolrandom and toilet humor and pop culture references after a couple minutes or don't like it to begin with.

There's plenty of others that do like that sorta stuff and that's how the world should be.

The humor is much improved from SR3 though which was filled with exactly what you describe.
SR4 is actually pretty witty at times with its humor and it's definitely a lot more sophisticated in general this time around. It still has dumb humor rarely, but it's nowhere near as bad as SR3's was since SR4's dumbness made me laugh regardless.
It's completely fine though if it's not certain people's cup of tea, just wanted to point that out.
The dubstep gun is literally the best interpretation of generic dubstep songs.

I played it because of the super powers and the best weapon variety I've ever seen in the SR series.

But in all seriousness, I absolutely loved this game. I'm a fan of the franchise, and even though they totally disregarded the witty crime drama the game was originally, it still makes for a damn fun game and it definitely makes up for what SRTT lacked. I'm on my second playthrough right now and I still laugh at most of the humor in the game. If you don't like the game, then all power to you, but there's still a ton of people who love the game for what it is.

You'd get dumbed into oblivion saying that in SR thread but yes the game is basically 3.5
about 85% of the game is a copy paste from 3 and it is so painfully obvious, especially when you go into a clothes store to kit out your character and you realise you already own all the clothes in 3
That guy doesn't know how to play the game
The only brilliant parts in this game are all the references to the first 2 games, [sp]especially the default player boss fight parts[/sp].
