Cautiously optimistic about it. It doesn't seem that generic apart from music but from what I heard they're trying to sort of stay true to the series
Oh hey it's not Uwe Boll directing, maybe it'll go ok then.
...from what I heard they're trying to sort of stay true to the series
By focusing mostly on the modern day parts of the game ?
By focusing mostly on the modern day parts of the game ?
Where did you get the idea that they are?
Weird how they hyped up the stunt for the leap of faith then just CGI'd everything around him.
By focusing mostly on the modern day parts of the game ?
I'm still convinced the series would have been better off if those segments didn't even exist.
I wonder if that dumbass Animus claw will make it into future games.
Weird how they hyped up the stunt for the leap of faith then just CGI'd everything around him.
Well what'd you expect? "Here bud jump off this actual building and we'll film you by dropping the camera at the same time"?
24 fps lock? No thanks
Well what'd you expect? "Here bud jump off this actual building and we'll film you by dropping the camera at the same time"?
Just seems like a lot of excessive work for something that's going to be 90% digitised anyway. Kinda like how the Thing remake used CG over the animatronics.
how do they make glitches and bugs appear in live action
24 fps lock? No thanks
"It's more cinematic this way!"
how do they make glitches and bugs appear in live action
They'll just fuck around with the projector dials and lenses at random intervals
Where did you get the idea that they are?
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. It is already known only 35% of the movie is set in the past, and the trailer is also showing mostly modern day scenery which fits that. Not really in the spirit of the series. I'm not a big Assassin's Creed fan so I don't know the significance of this, but why couldn't they make the movie about Ezio's story alone or something? The first half of this trailer is really uninteresting to me. I didn't give two shits about it cause to me that wasn't Assassin's Creed, it's just some sub plot that's in the way of what I really wanted to see.

Making a new story that's set in the world of the game and retains some of the elements is always a much better idea.
The effect of him in the past combined with the animus looks pretty cool. This animus makes more sense than what we have in the games.
Just seems like a lot of excessive work for something that's going to be 90% digitised anyway. Paraphrasing that Rocket Jump video that gets reposted every few months.
The effect of him in the past combined with the animus looks pretty cool. And they sorta got stuck with it after ac 1 introduced it. And the chair animus is really lame for a live action movie. Plus the claw actually shows how the animus "Bleeding Effect" creates muscle memory
Isn't that where CG is good though? Good at environments, but bad at people? Nothing looks real.
No Jeremy Irons as Pope Alexander 0/10
Been there, done that
Honestly if the AC franchise didn't exist and this trailer just came out of nowhere showing off Fassbender in high concept sci fi/history shit, people would go apeshit about how great it looks. It's a testament to how bad video game movies are that people are so (probably rightly so) scared that this will be garbage.
PG-13. I'm not hopeful.
What happened to the animus
24 fps lock? No thanks
i too refuse to listen to anything other than FLAC
What happened to the animus
a dentist chair/examination table device is too boring for hollywood, got to have huge robotic moving parts
It also makes more sense than the game animus.

I like that they're using it to expand the universe instead of a butchered retelling of a game, but these trailers just don't do much to excite me. [editline]19th October 2016[/editline] Trailers aside, I'm hoping it'll have something cool from the First Civ.
