Don't try to install the GTA5 "Play Disc" on Xbox 360

For 360 the game comes on two discs, you're meant to install one and put the other in to play. Don't install both or the game will look worse
is there no anti aliasing ? i'll wait for the pc release
Rather interesting that they'd have one disc for installation and another to play through. But I guess some people just don't read instructions when the developers themselves directly recommend what to install, eh? :v:

What did you expect from an open world game running on RAGE + Euphoria on the current gen console?

Well there's only so much room on a DVD.

To be fair with the way the game looks it's pretty much is magic seeing as it's running on such old hardware.
I mean the fucking consoles only have 512mb of RAM, you can barely run a web browser on that amount on a PC.
Why did they release it current-gen?
Thanks OP, I was so ready to install both disks when I get the game tonight like I do for all major releases.
-snip, automerge interupted-
Why did they release it current-gen?
Because they've been working on it since The Ballad of Gay Tony and current gen consoles have an installed user base. Considering GTA IV took half the people on the planet to make, GTA V needs a lot of sales to do well.

And if it does well, we can all but expect new-fangled next-gen ports that can probably take advantage of the new tech, if the 'orbis' config leak is anything to go by.
This is actually a hidden feature designed for nostalgic players who want to experience the old-school ugliness of San Andreas all over again.

Then you got exactly what you expected.

You know the consoles never were able to do anti aliasing in the first place in any game don't you?
Blimey; let's hope the PC version is better and puts the console version to shame.
Also they should have probably waited until next-gen; if anything GTA is kind of a hot IP and might have been enough to convince people to buy the system for that title.
I reckon PC version will get released at the same time the Xbone and PS4 versions get released.

So why does this happen?

There's no chance they'd have made back all the money it cost to make the game if they did that.
So why does this happen?
Because the data is being streamed from 2 sources, the actual 8gb install from disc #1 and the "Play" disc install (aka the one you're not supposed to install).
I reckon PC version will get released at the same time the Xbone and PS4 versions get released.
That's optimistic.
PC release is always the one shafted release-time-wise by Rockstar.
Why did they release it current-gen?
Because it will take 2-4 years until the new consoles actually sell.
They did another test where they installed it to a USB stick.

who the FUCK turns on anti-aliasing?
i like to see precise objects in game instead of a blurred edge, and if jagged edges bother me, might as well turn up the resolution so i can't see them.

I think you've got anti aliasing mixed up with depth of field, anti aliasing doesn't make anything blurry, it simply adds pixels where the "stair step effect" occurs, if you take a photo and bring it up on your computer, you'll see that no matter how focused objects are, you get a natural anti aliasing effect, as our eyes and cameras do not see in pixels, look up aliasing or anti aliasing in Wikipedia for more

I'm sorry, what?

GTA IV didn't have AA on the PC.
