sometimes i feel like people who make these kinds of videos never actually played the game.

Shitty and "hot pursuit" shouldn't even be in the same sentence IMO.
honestly, if the only real argument this "SATRICIAL EDGY LOUD VIDEO" is trying to make is it isn't pure racing, go play something like Forza. NFS is for HOT CARS with HOT WUBB WUB MUSIC and HOT PURSUITS every second. And the soundtrack is pretty good too, tbh, it's not pure wubb wubb. Being a racer is fun as fuck when you get to like level 8 heat and have like 30 cops on you WHILE racing people. And being a cop, the only racing skill you need is catch up to the dude, and hit him. Like thats it. How is a cop suppose to catch a dude by getting first place??
I get the message of the video, and I agree with it, but the whole "extremely loud and distorted music whilst zooming in on random areas of the video and shaking the screen a lot" shit just makes the video obnoxious and annoying to watch.
The problem with Rivals is it's a jack of all trades and a master on none. They tried to mash Hot Pursuit & Most Wanted into one game and it just didn't work.

Just look at his latest videos, they're all like that.
Being loud and distorted while being merged with each other.
The game is fun, I thought anyway. You can repair your car on the road, your tyres have a time-limit on how long they can be popped, so they self-inflate, like health regen. There is no substance to this videos criticism on the game.
I had fun with the game even if it wasn't really NEED FOR SPEED HOT PURSUIT

The game is fucking dope, especially with friends. Get like two buddies and roll around harassing people with konesseig cop cars going warp speed. Video in the op's just trying way too hard.
Though until they fix the PC port (30 fps lock without some fiddling and then the game has some SERIOUS slowdown in a few areas of the map) i'd get it on a ps360/ps4/xbone.
Rivals is what hot pursuit should have been, and hot pursuit was hype on it's own.
This is like the inverse of brand loyalty. Hating a game because of who published it rather than hating the game.

NFS: Rivals has its shortcomings, but past them it makes for a really fun game.

Hot pursuit has the best driving mechanics and great gameplay, everything it does is perfection
All it could use is a bit more open world gameplay, but dude, Rivals is a fucking freak of nature
It's videos like this that make me think that internet is just one big game of "Who can cause the most seizures"

I have to turn my volume down to 2% just so my speakers don't blow. 3% and the stand starts to quake. 4% and the screen begins vibrating. I'm afraid what happens if I turned it to 5%.
The Video was hilarious but the Volume was still ear rape at the lowest. It's kind of part of the joke though so I dont care.
