People of Facepunch!
I present to you the work of idiots with expensive equipment, too much free time on their hands and LOTS of silly ideas for the game universe that is Halo!
Fucking Wars in Space, Stupid characters, silly scenarios, and british old timey voices!
This is a Pilot episode for a series we are hoping to continue in the future, any feedback is appreciated!
Thanks for watching, Facepunchers!
WARNING:
This isn't a fleshed out piece of work, although I'm happy with the outcome the amount of things wrong with it is uncanny.
I advise you in your feedback to be nice... but at the same time HARSH AS FUCK! I'm not going to get mad, as proven with the first couple of responses I've gotten!
Thanks!

You are cool because you watched this.
If you were high when watching this, your are ice.... literally!
PEACE!
not a fan, too much shouting and the jokes fall flat
Thankyou for your constructive feedback!
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it!
Doritos Cool Ranch Tacos were released today. Which means I'm going to shit all over this.
1. This is a retarded game choice. Why? Because it's been done to death by Roosterteeth, and you're going to be overshadowed by them no matter what.
2. You're too cocky about your idea of humor, which is bad seeing as how there is no humor here.
#2 ultimately leads this list.
3. It's just a bunch of badly done accents and humor that falls flatter than a day old soda in the sun. Looks like you've studied nothing but the "Vague-Genre Movie" comedy crowd.
4. "More useless than tits on a warthog"? Usually when people fake stereotypes for comedy, they at least try to make the humor have some sensibility.
To sum it up: Get a better game and sense of humor, because this is an overworked theme that nobody but 10 year olds is going to like.
Honorable mention: Your thread description sounds like a 50 year old man trying to claim he knows what's popular in teenage culture.
Thanks for the feedback!
Although I hate to admit it, I can agree with a number of your points. However, I do have some things I feel I should explain, so I'll reply to your numbered points in order.
1. I don't really understand this. I know that Roosterteeth has taken Halo as it's own personal tool for movies, but its not like I'm trying to one up them. Their work will always shit all over ANY of my own, simply because they've been using it for so long and are highly experienced with the engine.
I can't say that it's retarded though, as you could say the same for generic SFM movies and Gmod (silly thruster) movies. I'll try to experiment with different games, but I can't help it if I like using the Halo engine! ^^,
2. Our humor is a little bit too.. how to say.. "insidey", as alot of the attempted jokes refer to Halo's lore, game mechanics, etc. I don't really understand where your getting the cockyness so I cant comment on that xD I should have noted that alot of these jokes were full on improvised, and I didn't really have many written out ideas for the machinima in general, it was merely an attempt at producing something fun for me and my friends to do.
The rest: I don't think our accents are that bad, even if they are, they're highly exaggerated and made to sound stupid anyways, so maybe next time I'll take a more simple approach when it comes to accents.
I'm afraid not everything is going to be funny to the everyone, and I really didn't plan out a target audience for this, it was merely a fun project that I pulled out for practice and constructive feedback.
The "tits on a warthog" thing was a full on improv, and now that I come to think of it, it doesn't really make ANY sense at all, guess it just sounded funny at the time!
So, in conclusion, thanks for your views on this. Honesty can be hard to come by and even though I would have appreciated a less "aggressive" reply, I can't say that anything you said is completely false.
Thanks again!
It had dull bits and funny bits.
Thanks for the viewing and suches x)
I probably know which bits your talking about and I can't agree more.
Alot of scenes do drag on a bit too much, especially when nothing funny or crazy interesting is happening.
I have started thinking of smaller films in Halo as I feel alot of the "skits" in the show could have used with their own short, instead of being a short in a skit show!

Halo Machinimas have existed since the beginning of time. It's an old, milked-out concept.

Therein lies the problem: What you and your friends conceive as "fun" doesn't always translate into fun for an entire audience. Also, there's a reason why improv isn't the most watched form of comedy: usually you have to be very good at it for it to work.

As I mentioned above, what you or your friends see as humor doesn't always translate into a whole audience. Listen, I'm sure you're proud of your work, but being too proud is seen as cockyness, and thats where that fits into the situation. You asked for feedback and you got it, so try to work from there. I'm sure it was a fun project for you, but going about promoting what you or your crew find alone funny isn't going to get you anywhere
Just experiment, but don't go about promoting your video in a claim you can't validate. Otherwise, it all falls apart, much like the tabletop game of "BulletBall". Even youtube and machinima humorists handle their work professionally. Best of luck to ya.
Everything you have said is true and although I did try to defend a few things, you are completely right.
Once again, I still find Halo to be a good engine for machinima, even though Halo 4 sucks dick, but I will experiment with more games in the future.
I'm happy with the outcome for now, but this is the exact kind of stuff I needed to throw me into the mentality that there is TONS of room for improvement!
In all fairness, the jokes was what I was most worried about! As alot of them were improv, they seemed funny to me & my friends at the time, so we chucked them in there not thinking about what others may think of them, and obviously it backfired as alot of people do not have the same, idiotic, outrageous sense of humor as us!
Next time I'll definitely be spending a lot more time writing out the jokes that others can hopefully find funny & researching my audience!
Thanks again dude! :)
I haven't seen the video as I'm at work at the moment, but I just wanted to say that you are a welcome change to the usual machinima authors we get around here. You actually... accept criticism.
That gets you tons of bonus points already.
Thanks very much!
I know my work isn't perfect, and it annoys me when people ask from criticism and then get all butthurt because someone said something mean.
End of the day, there is no "cutesy nicey" feedback! It's usually straight to the point, harsh and blunt!
Granted, I'm not just gonna sit here and let someone degrade my work with "ZOMG THIS SUCKS! STUPID AND IZ NOT FUNNY" as its not constructive and it doesn't help me at all.
At least when someone is pointing out bad things I know exactly what I did wrong and where to improve!
I hope you enjoy the video in some sort of way, and appreciate any feedback you can give! Thanks!
And for anyone else!
I only have a small amount of videos on my channel, multiple which I'm not too confident about, but if you could check them out and leave a comment with feedback that would be dandy!
Always room for improvement!
Yeah, we get about a dozen of genuinely retarded people every week, creating a thread here either advertising their own or friends videos, whoring for views. Then get massive anal pains when we don't immediately suck their dicks and instead call them out on their bullshit, it usually ends with the idiot getting banned or ragequitting this forum forever (not that we miss them anyways).
This happens every week and good folks like you are a rare sight.
As much as I want to thankyou all for calling me a "good" folk and whatnot, I feel kinda bad considering that this is what people have to resort to.
It gives people like me less of a chance to actually get some feedback because some idiots can't accept the fact that their content just isn't that good!
Once again, thankyou all!
(I say thanks too much >.<)
