So Raccoon City is getting a sequel?
I thought it sucked hard :v:

It did, but it sold copies.

Ah I see, quite a popular trend back then and kinda now.
Poorly reviews? What ever, long as it made lots of money we don't care, sequels! Not even good sequels just for the sake of more money!
At least it's got cool models.

Aside from being just awful it's the only game I've ever gotten mad at because of anachronisms and the character design, that's an achievement in itself. The game is utterly ridiculous and not in a fun way.
looks horrible
It's like Capcom can't learn their lesson. Like they realize people want more traditional survival-horror but they can't stop the urge to action-ify the shit out of the series. And to top it off, this is a competitive multiplayer shooter. It seems to be PS4 PSN-only so it's probably either a mini-game or a free-to-play title, but if Operation Raccoon City was barely Resident Evil then this might as well not have the license attached at this point.
.. which is probably why they don't have Biohazard / Resident Evil in the title, I guess.
Looks like Call of Duty but with zombies/monsters in the map too, could be fun with mates.
I can't believe they had the gall to stick 20th anniversary logo, as if to say "This is really respecting RE's roots."
I liked the concept of Operation Raccoon City a lot, a Left 4 Dead from the perspective of evil corporate military with distinctive characters and playstyles but its execution was very flawed.

Yeah agreed, the game was fun for me. But the game was poorly designed, specially when it came to environments. A lot of the maps felt empty and lacked the atmosphere that normally goes with RE.
This game looks like it could be interesting itself, but from what I saw in the video it doesn't look that great. So unless they polish it up in the next year or so i don't have high hopes.
Well this isn't even trying for a story or a unique idea or anything, it's basically Call of Duty but in third-person and with zombies thrown into the match for the sake of the RE brand. The game probably won't even try to have some sort of canon unless there's also story in there they aren't stating.
They really gotta meet that yearly release of a Resident Evil game.
I would rather they spend there time/resources on better re games to got sooner/more of them,.
If the game actually has interplay between normal combat and players weaponizing zombies, then this could be a lot of fun.
It's capcom though so I'm not getting my hopes up.

They're already doing that by remaking the old ones. They're remaking Zero, and also 2 at the same time. Zero should be out sometime soon.
this looks like something indie games developer made
I would have rather a season 2 for Rev2
What about the Outbreak games?
:<
What even is Resident Evil at this point
What even is Resident Evil at this point
Income for Capcom.

A miserable pile of code
I think it looks cool only because it reminds me of MGO2, but other than that Capcom is continuing to show that they are not competent enough to manage the Resident Evil name, what other than zombies does this have to do with Resident Evil?
imagine a good new resident evil game
And once again the zombies look to be completely useless, reduced to just being shields. Just make another Outbreak, the only multiplayer I want with RE is proper survival co-op.
It honestly makes me guilty to see this since Monster Hunter is the only Capcom franchise I've participated in, and the only one they've put effort into recently. It feels like they only care about the japanese players at this point.
Is it just me or does this look like the exact same thing that was done to FEAR with FEAR Online?
why would they ever even consider this after operation raccoon city?
Honestly looks like fun with friends or just to screw around in. Probably shouldn't be attached to Resident Evil but I guess we'll see if anything good comes from it.
