While it was hilarious listening to this hypocritical schlock that the evangelist kept spewing, it would be unfair to not notice that more Christians are actually beginning to tolerate same-sex marriage. Of course, people would rather overlook this in favor of highlighting the crazier and bigoted Christians.

People recognize that, there's a lot of push in many major Christian communities to change the stance of same-sex marriage and condemnation and I hear a lot about it on the radio. That being said, most of the Christian faiths also still condemn homosexuality, and it's not really news when people stop acting like intolerant cavemen and butt out of other people's business instead of telling them that they're going to hell.

If you're wondering why it's John Oliver instead of basically anyone else the stated reason on the show is that it's because his name is also John.
