This is what's wrong with the CS community, most of them are a bunch of pricks who go around and insult you for "not being good enough".
The trash talking is much better if you're playing competitive since people don't trash talk their own team as much (other team can't hear you), plus they'd rather concentrate on not losing rank.

Yes, one of the biggest games in the esports scene is made for teenage assholes, as beautifully shown in this two minute video of someone spinning in circles while playing on casual servers.
Judging CS:GO by that video is like judging Facepunch by reading the five newest posts in the Rust subforum.

Communities for just about every game that's big on the E-Sports scene are the worst communities there are. At least before Source, CS had a tighter community, with modders out the ass doing sound packs and models and decent re-skins, rather than this SPIDER MAN PATTERN shit

The competitive Dod:s community (excluding 'realism' players) was pretty fun.
There were a few awful people, but for the most part it was a bunch of grown-ass men who had admitted they were nerds yelling "BRO I'M JACKED I GO OUTSIDE."

Loved DoD before source, absolutely hated the changes when it was ported over
DoD beta 2.1 was probably my favorite. 2.0 had a nasty server crash glitch and 2.1 hotfixed it, but MGs and recoil was introduced, Modding was still poppin' with realistic historical skins and models for characters and weapons, Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers sound packs were bitchin'
Now with Source, there's almost none of that, and what little there are are hard to use because servers force vanilla stuff, and even the gameplay mechanics are different, such as the Thompson is useless for distances further than 20 feet, the action is faster... CS was almost just a pure port from one to the other, and DoD was a completely different game
Weird, I've played Ranked a bunch of times during Operation Phoenix and it was full of incredibly nice people practically spamming stuff like "nice job!" or "you can do it!", way nicer what I'm used to from usual competitive multiplayer communities. Much more focused on coming up with counters and tactics, too.

Everybody is always pissed off in casual for some reason. The players in competitive are usually a lot more respectful of others and are good sports most of the time too.
I usually just play Demolition. I rarely see assholes on there.

Yeah right now in competitive I usually get a group a really nice guys that don't care about winning as long as the match was played well. Other times i get 4 stacks full of former esea players that bring their shitty attitude along with them, or the one guy on the team that tries to get the whole team to be toxic.
