So much worth the waiting time, can't wait to get my hands on it! :D
Looks awesome. Isn't it supposed to come out next month?

It actually got pushed back to around August - October. Game looks cool though, I'll have to pick it up when it comes out.
Driving looks a bit clunky.
the streets look kinda empty.
OMG MY PANTS
/c
the streets look really bland. maybe I'm just not into this era
What I saw in this video, the game looks a bit...repetitive.
Seems like all you do is keep getting behind cover, and then spray down your enemies. You can even charge straight into your enemies and then spray them in the face. Feels too arcade-ish.
Oh well, I loved the first Mafia, so I still have high hopes for this one.
You can tell the wrecking physics are going to suck.
They should get it out already.
I hope this is no Wolfenstein. Mafia 1 was great, I hope they don't ruin it, as there are lots of things to consider in an open world game.
I'm......disappointed.
MAFIA I was fucking awesome, and advanced for the time, it had some damn good car physics, so far, it looks like they took a step backwards here.
The cars took more effort to blow up, in this video the car took like 13 rounds to the trunk and exploded. Another step back.
The whole cover system kind of kills it for me, part of the fun of MAFIA was always being in the action with makeshift cover using crouch, a game with a cover system is less appealing to me because they make you use it. When i play im going to try to ignore it the best i can.
I better fucking see car damage like the first MAFIA, it was fucking awesome for a 2002 game, and it was comparable to GTA IV's. Albeit buggy it was still there, here everything looks predetermined.
So far, this looks one step forward for graphics, two steps back with gameplay and improvements upon MAFIA I.

OH MY GOD, IT HAS HEALTH REGENERATION.
MAFIA, you're dead to me now.
I didn't like how the car exploded either. If shooting a car into random spaces makes it explode, it kind of annoys me.

in a way i can deal with that, but then i look back at MAFIA I (released in early 03) did not have this feature, instead you had to shoot the engine, or the gas tanks, or you could shoot the tires off the axels or flatten them to disable a car. GTA IV (08) had the same thing in the exploding car sense, now MAFIA II (10) has neither!
I'm really only seeing backwards progress here, how a game made in 02-03 had all this advanced shit while it's sequel about 6 years later has little to none of it.

the release date has been moved to Q4 2010. meaning between august and december
Hey look. Another casualized game, with everything it needs to be next-gen. Cool.

It looked like he hit the gas "tank" (the gas cap in the game).

Yeah, I started seriously ranting upon Mafia II when I saw that the developers had made the game more casual, taking steps obviously backwards towards the first game. But, comparing this new video to one of the first ones I see some improvements, and I don't think the game is going to suck, it is either going to be decent, good or fucking fantastic, and I really think it isn't going to be the latter.

Whatevaman.
Actually, I think this has a high chance to blow. The first screenshots and footage looked amazing, but now it seems it has some problems, seeing how it gets delayed all the time. I mean wasn't meant to be available in early 2009 at one point? Then got delayed to Q4, then to Q1 of 2010 and now Q4 again? By the time the graphics will look outdated and I'm afraid they could pull a Wolfenstein. I mean it was hard imagining they would be able to fuck something like Wolfenstein up in the sense they did.
Hoping the best though, loved the first.

So far i'm looking at this game to be a Fallout 3 syndrome* sufferer.
*When the game is made by another company that inevitably butchers the series but at the same time makes a very enjoyable game, but not in a canon sense and extremely dissatisfies its serious fans.

It's not made by another company? Illusion Softworks just merged with 2K, that's all.
The game isn't even out yet. Chill out you fucks
