If I remember correctly cat bodies are so flexible that they can survive falling under terminal velocity with no injuries. This means that theoretically a cat can fall from [b]any[/b] height and survive unharmed.

If a cats body is perfectly spread out during its fall it can basically survive any fall as spread out it slows its terminal velocity down as its spread out body creates drag. This also does not work with every floor surface but does with most. Depending on the surface the cat can escape with basically no injuries not even broken bones.
Those firefighters sure were stupid, but I don't appreciate being called an idiot because some other Russians are.
