100% Pure Awesome
This is going to be sooooo coool.
Artwork in 3d? Now that's something new to me.
Love these vlogs!
Holy shit yes! Feels like forever since the third one. [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] Love the look of younger gandalf.
They'll be done filming on location mid December (I believe) so another vlog late December/early January I guess.
YES! i have been waiting for so long :D
It's also cool how you can figure out what part is what if you've read the book. [sp] At 01:51 for example, when Bilbo sticks his head out of the tree. That's propably in the Mirkwood when he climbs up the tree and looks over the entire forest.[/sp] Peter Jackson is really the only director I'd trust in making The Hobbit.
This is looking amazing. The Hobbit is my favorite book and it's looking like this will be my favorite movie. I can't wait.
Jackson certainly knows how to adapt books. Just looking at all the detail and hard work that goes into his films, while most other directors would just cut 50% of a book in order to squeeze it down to 2 hours. He has the mentality that most directors should have. Just look at how much they butcher the Harry Potter films by cutting massive amount of stuff from the books.
I hope both the movies are about 3 hours each.
I hope they include Beorn in the movies. Wasn't too big of a role in the book but he was pretty badass.

I can't wait for this film, oh man
I'd kill for a job with Peter Jackson.
Is Peter Jackson gaining back pounds?
I just checked on the website and those RED cameras are expensive as fuck. The smallest kit for that camera costs $43,000. They also showed the 128GB SSD that went into the camera, that's $1,800. http://www.red.com/store/epic/product/epic-m-2 There must be some kind of deal with them to get the cameras cheaper, those are some pretty high prices. You could buy two good cars with that money.
13 months to go...
48fps + 3D + whatevery ridiculously high resolution i get to see it in = pure awesome.
Midnight premier for sure
