I would never listen to someone who looked like me in high school, no matter how pertinent the message.
Oh yes sensible Russell Brand, the man who was babbling on about revolution not long ago.
I know many don't like Russel but what he's saying here is pretty fair.
He goes off on one a bit at the end but he does make some decent points.
Lotta celebs jumping on the train, huh.
Do they think all their money is going to vanish or something?
russell brand has always been politically active though?
edit: i mean for fucks sake it says right in the title that this is episode number 372
Why are celebrities unqualified to speak about politics but it's perfectly ok for you guys to do it?
You guys aren't jumping on him yet but the last time a video was posted where Russel Brand spoke on politics, several people jumped on him and told him to keep his mouth shut and I really just want get this off my chest. I doubt many of you are political scientists or have worked for a politician so his qualifications are about the same as yours.

I feel like celebrities ought be more informed than average before they say political stuff because they have more influence than the average person. There is some responsibility there.

Seriosuly? Completely disregarding whatever someone says based on how they look?

Sorry if I'm taking this out of context because it might not be what you exactly meant but since when do we have to ensure that every retard listening in knows that not everything a celebrity says is gonna be spot on, true, or right ? It should be the listener's responsibility to say "right, this guy might not have the slightest clue what he's talking about"

seriously missing a joke that obvious
seriously missing a joke that obvious
It's difficult to distinguish parody, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen someone seriously think exactly that.
russell brand is a smart guy

Yeah there is definitely more responsibility by the listeners, but speakers can still make things happen through what they say. Free speech is a really important right, I think I meant more that they should recognize that they have that influence.

Russel Brand SOUNDS like a smart guy, but when you actually listen to what he's saying it's either parroting common sense or absolute non-sense.
He's a sophist in every sense of the word.

? It doesn't sound like nonsense to me. He's basically just spouting the same 'people wanted more radical, less political establishment based change' as the donald trump election reason that a lot have said, and I don't think that's a very empty point to make. It has been said, but articulating it in multiple ways isn't a bad thing.
How to be Russell Brand in four easy steps
1. Google most recent moral/philosophical/political/conspiracy bandwagon
2. Parrot bandwagon
3. Get told repeatedly how fucking wrong you are
4. Repeat step 1
