A group of people from my city made this video for an infowars contest. I don't fully support Obama but comparing him to Hitler is just...Wow.

Laredo is probably one of the shittiest border towns in Texas, hell, the entire US. It's as poverty ridden as it gets and their public education system is awful. As someone who has lived within and near Laredo, and visited a few times, I can safely say no one in the surrounding towns likes visiting or dealing with the people from there.

Not being from the USA I am a bit confused as to why many people seem to have such a deep seated hatred of Obama. I don't recall many people comparing any of the previous presidents in my lifetime to Hitler or Stalin etc.

The thing with the Infowars folks is that from their view, any authority that's not states rights and libertarianism or anarchism is totalitarian, and that the government is looking to continue to maintain control at all costs, something which isn't totally untrue but a very extreme understanding of that.

It told me all about them FEMA camps that are being used to detain U.S. civilians en masse, and the usage of martial law, and tell me more about how Obama is continuing the war in Iraq (which ended in 2011).

That specific section in the NDAA is nothing new. Looks like freedom fighters were 11 years late to the party.
Also, do you have any idea how government works? You think Obama could simply do whatever he wants? He drafted the bill on his own? He wrote every single word in there? It was a lose/lose situation if he vetoed it or not. There was another section in the bill that provided benefits to veterans and their families. I bet if he tried vetoing it, that part of the bill would make headlines instead, "Obama denies benefits to military veterans".
