You can beat the whole game without practically using a single weapon. The only times you have to use a weapon are if you absolutely need to continue the game (for example the helicopter bit in Gould's lab and the cloaking Ceph, Guardians I think they're called)

I don't like people who shoot while stealthed. If you uncloak, shoot, and recloak, you keep all the energy, and they don't see you. You can literally do it in front of a group of them and they don't shoot you.
