This took a month to make. Yes, a month. Animating a crap load of characters in not easy to do. Then making the sound for the armor movement and steps and all that crap was annoying too. I'm never doing a huge battle scene again. Sorry it's so short, originally I was going to include the ogre fight scene, but after I finished the first part of the battle I was so tired of working on the same thing I ended it there. Anyway, How is it?
I want to play Dragon Age now
looks very nice, too bad i dont play dragon age :X
Crap I just found a mistake I made in the machinima. Hopefully it's not that noticeable.
That was pretty awesome. Rated artistic. Also why didn't the bows have any arrows loaded? Otherwise it was cool.
That was well done, very well done, shame you won't make more, I loved the battles in Dragon Age.
That was pretty awesome. Rated artistic. Also why didn't the bows have any arrows loaded? Otherwise it was cool.
To put arrows I needed to move each individual arrow along with the characters hand frame by frame, I'd do it maybe if it were only one person shooting, But because there were like 10 guys up there I wasn't going to animate 10 arrows being loaded and fired. Now you might see how difficult it is animating so many characters. And I am still going to do fight scenes, but not with 40 people. I was thinking of doing a little series that follows a group of like 4 people and they get into fights. A lot, that way it's easier for me to do it.
I laughed out loud at the hurlock's face after he hit the guy in the face with his sword.
Pretty damn cool, did you make the battle animations? Or did you just align them?
Pretty damn cool, did you make the battle animations? Or did you just align them?
The dragon age toolset comes with every single animation in the game, so you choose the one you want from a long list and and then choose another one for a different character and then you align them. I'm not sure if you can add your own animations to the toolset. It's really annoying to do also cause the animations aren't named correctly. Someone swinging a sword would be named something like mh_c.tal_sndrarmr. But for the people I had to make like like 10 pairs of people fighting then make a series of animations making a duel for each one. Which is why it took so long.
