it's... really good??
just cause it's razer and poorly marketed doesn't mean it'll be bad. i mean, okay, i am typing this on a razer blackwidow with a razer mousepad while i have a razer blade inside a razer backpack next to my desk, so i'm not really one to talk.. but in any case, usually, like mkbhd said, """gamer""" stuff will come with a lot of power under the hood usually, and in the case of this, the specs of the screen, speakers, cpu, and having stock android equate to something i don't think you can't go wrong with (except it's missing that fucking headphone jack aaa)
i've always been a huge fan of razers stuff, but i can understand people's quarrels with them (the awful software that bricks units constantly comes to mind.) still, i dont think there's much that could've been done poorly. plus, 120hz in any display ever is just a dream.
Ugh, no headphone jack is a no-no for me.

The camera is a dealbreaker for me too. My Galaxy S7's camera still holds up really nicely and I'm too used to it. I was just expecting it to be bad in every way, honestly... and it isn't.
I hold Razer's mice and laptops in pretty good esteem but I don't have much respect for much else they make, especially their keyboards which are extremely overpriced and use rebranded Kailh switches.
Please, don't let the "no headphone jack" trend become commonplace. I have bluetooth earbuds, and I love them, but I still like to use my aux headphones from time to time as well.
Razer Phone looks pretty darn promising, though. I think I'll wait until the second model before I try and dip my toes into the line.

Apple, Google, HTC, lots of chinese manufacturers already joined in. Unfortunately it is commonplace already
annoyingly bluetooth headphones are being shoehorned to become more commonplace, dunno if its related to a big tech deal which has influenced it or just because wireless stuff is cool and the old ceo peeps want to rock about with wireless earphones

That, and control
I think it is a good phone for the price, they clearly got some areas to improve on. But i think it is a good release for their first phone.
Nice to hear the battery life isn't as bad as GSMArena's review. Sounds like their unit had an issue. (software bug maybe?)

too late fam, it's already happened.

It's primarily that their price to performance ratio as well as general design has been shitty.
$70 for a mechanical keyboard is a decent deal, but you can definitely get higher quality stuff for only slightly more (or less, like this guy).

That said, I have yet to encounter any mobile games I really enjoy to even consider a phone like this. Any recommendations?
