After 4 months in the works, my class has finished work on a fully functioning game prototype for our game "Grim Deliveries"!
Please keep in mind that this is, after all, only a prototype, so it's a given it looks kinda crappy, the point was to show off the gameplay elements.

You can some of the things I contributed to the game in the video, the Soul Dropbox (the thing that looks like a giant blue mail box with a gravestone on top), and the female citizens. (Which unfortunately can be seen only as corpses in the video and in the working prototype)
Bloated Pac-Man clone, GO!
It looks alright. One of the main things that needs to be worked on is the animations.
This looks retarded as fuck
[editline]/[/editline]
holy shit god damn
Animation in the Unity engine always looks floaty and shitty.

PAC-MAN is about eating all the pills and keeping away from ghosts while occasionally being able to temporarily incapacitate them.
Grim Deliveries is about collecting all the souls you can, but you have to do so before the Great Light totally envelops the area you're in. You cant enter the great light, so you're also running out of places to run and collect as well. On top of that you sometimes have to take the time to sever a soul still clinging to its body before being able to collect it. Angry souls will cause you to lose all the souls you've collected so far. On top of that, you can only collect a few souls at a time, so you have to keep track of all the Soul Drop boxes so you can empty your Soul Vacuum and collect more.
When there's something strange
looks worse than big rigs
Jesus tits it's like mak said.
Big Rigs the MMORPG.
Sure it looked ugly, but for a prototype, it didn't look that bad, I would never buy that,
but I could maybe download the finished product.
Seems like a decent original idea for a game, to be honest.
Reminds me of bulletball.
Oh god lights and animations.
Well I can see it's a prototype.
This sounds like a game I would play for 5 minutes.
Keep the concept, make it top-down view but with 3D models so it looks nice. (Think GTA: Chinatown Wars art style)
It's cool that you're making your own game, keep it up.

Originality doesn't mean quality. Looks like it would get boring as shit really quick.
Well I thought it looked cool. :buddy:
I hate it when people treat things like this the same as a professionally developed finished product, I think it looks quite good actually.
You should either reduce the walk speed or increase the running animation speed.
If you are at such early state of development you shouldn't really try to make a nice looking trailer with the unfinished gameplay in it. Gameplay elements and so on might change, after all.
Where's all the rape of scantily clad grimy elf chicks, man?
