This guy sounds like the American version of Jeremy Clarkson. I love it. His videos are always interesting, even though I'm not that interested in guns.
Nice its back

I think it would be a lot better with some actual clips of the AR platform, especially in the first 70% where he doesn't talk about games at all
A few of the facts are off, but not anything serious. For example: - The US Air Force was the first to accept the AR15 in 1962, not the US Army. The rifle was accepted a year later, but thanks to it's bad reputation for stoppages, many US Army NCO's and Officer were reluctant to arm their men with it over the current standing M14, BAR, and Grease Gun. - The M16 was NOT updated to be three round burst for ammo conservation. It was done because of barrel failures that occurred in Vietnam(and the Latin America Bouncer Wars) during sustained fire. These barrel failures got so bad at points that the barrel would explode in the hands of the soldier using it, and send shrapnel into him, and anyone unlucky enough to be within two to three meters of said soldier. This was standard with the M16A2 and M16A3, but the M16A4 later had two distinct models made by Colt for different purposes, the R0901 which goes safe/semi/auto, and the R0905 which goes same/semi/3-round burst. just the small stuff
Sometimes I wish the AR-15 didn't have such a huge lobby power behind it causing it to get the advantage over the AR-18/180 which was cheaper to make as huge amounts of it could be stamped and uses a much more reliable bolt mechanism, oh and no dumb buffer tube so you can fold the stock down reducing its size even more.
The M16A1 was such a god damn slab of shit it's incredible
The M16A1 was such a god damn slab of shit it's incredible
You mean the XM-16, which was a true piece of shit M-16A1 was slightly better and didn't suffer feed errors all the time

I always thought M16's and M4's look really ugly
Every new episode from AhoyGuy feels me like it gives me a gigantic box of sweets in form of the accent.
He really did his research on the fuck-ups with the powder, I doubt that's common knowledge. Supposedly US Army Ordnance just went ahead and pushed through the change in powder despite the fact that when done previously, any changes had to go through rigorous testing.
Oh man, can't wait for this new season. I'm hoping he does a video on the Glock-17.
Oh man, can't wait for this new season. I'm hoping he does a video on the Glock-17.
Glock 17 iirc could be on the list, and the Skorpion is a possibility in the next season. HYPE.
I'm surprised he didn't show it jamming in Far Cry 2. Best rifle in that game, but it jammed every second magazine.

So many people still give the rifle itself flak for its teething problems in 'Nam when the reality is the most common issues that were had with it back then were caused by that powder.
iirc while this is correct later models still held onto burst fire for the ammo conservation and accuracy. But even these days most will tell you that burst fire is largely pointless.
American, right
What?
What?
Hes British where the fuck did you get american from? He doesnt sound at all american?
I genuinely thought he did (not Clarkson, Ahoy). Guess I don't know what an accent is. :v:
I can understand not pinpointing an accent unfamiliar to you, but if your flagdog is any indication how the hell did you think he was American?
