"Easy! You just don't lead 'em as much!"
Don't be shit
I'm glad they're still using IRL weapons to make blasters out of.

There is going to be a new trailer tonight on ABC.
I'm pretty interested since it's Star Wars but man, I don't know why but the actress really irks me.
Oh god one of the actors full-on spoiled a character death by accident during the panel
The cameras were avoiding him for the rest of the panel and he didn't speak again
He and the actor who's death he spoiled looked absolutely gutted

Wow fuck, that's horrible.
The stormtrooper at 48 seconds looks fucking tight. And what I'm assuming are the death star plans protagonist girl is holding at 1:22 looks a bit too much like a modern hard drive imo, but that's just me nitpicking.
Still kinda bummed that there's a dude who looks kinda like Kyle Katarn, is dressed kinda like Kyle Katarn, has a similar role to Kyle Katarn, yet he isnt Kyle Katarn.
I get they want all new characters and stories, but the selfishness inside me wants my favorite fictional character back in cannon.

that's actually totally something he would have done

He is nothing like Kyle. Completely different backstories and roles. Kyle was never a full on Rebel, he was smuggler and mercenary, who did jobs for them once and a while.
This guy is neither of those and is within the ranks of the Rebellion. He is a 'by the book' intelligence officer. Kyle was anything but 'by the book'

He wouldn't have had anything projected on the screen, except blue (or green)
But the gimble set up? Yeah he did that a few times in the PT.

i don't think it's nitpicking, it does look a little out of place. needless to say it's not going to affect my enjoyment of the movie whatsoever, ofc

That one did impress me. Did ILM or whoever push overtime to do that skyline flyby shot in time for filming, or were they able to use mostly on-site aerial footage from a location shoot? This sort of thing would've been a real time crunch in the prequel era with all the post-production work needed for the alien environment footage.
The closest I saw of this concept was in how they filmed the EpII speeder chase, which did use bluescreen around footage of the actors in props of the speeders, but gave them a mockup version of the scene playing in front of them. This shit they're pulling here is really going the extra mile for actor immersion, I have to say.
these sets look so fun to be on

I was at that panel today and heard it. Was kind of awkward but it's hard to be harsh on him as the guys English wasn't great.
Infact all the actors were struggling trying to tease the audience without revealing too much.
Also they showed a new trailer for the film after this clip that wasn't in the live stream.
This has me more hyped than the Force Awakens

Ah. I see.
I was going off some old "leaked" info I read a while back.
i hope the jedi (or the lightsabre) isnt shown at all and focuses more on the war.
The battlefront book was perfect in this with soldiers going to war with the imperials while building a band of brothers feel where people were killed off at random but you felt the toll of the war as a whole. The only time a jedi/sith shows up is when they run into vader while hes searching Hoth. And when they do, they have no idea what the fuck the jedi/sith/the force is and are completely destroyed by vader. It gives him a massive larger than life feel and makes him look 100x more imposing when seeing in the eyes of a foot soldier.
So fucking hyped.
Is that....

This makes me happy.

She looks very pretty in all shots, even the ones where they're supposed to be dirty. Breaks immersion.
Everything looks great to me except the tone. Episode 7 did a good job because unlike the prequel trilogy, it understood that Star Wars is a space opera that has its lighthearted and comedic moments.
This movie seems to take itself and the universe too seriously. If it can pull off a serious action-packed attempt then I guess I won't complain

Star Wars is actually the perfect platform for a very gritty and serious movie. The campaign in Battlefront 2 and Republic Commando are 2 really good examples of this.

read the battlefront book, republic commando, and you'll see the war can be gritty and great with action.
