The guy looks like an absolute retard but he does bring up some good points surprisingly. There was a whole episode of the thick of it that reminds me of this; the politicians get a focus group in to get policy ideas and they end up basing an entire policy on what one woman, a single mom, in the focus group says, but she was actually an actress hired to pad out the group and say what she thought a single mom might hypothetically say in that situation

Disregarding his appearance and near egotistical personality, he brings up some very good points at times.

I don't understand how people don't realize his look and attitude when not addressing points is part of an act. What baffles me most is people fully enjoy Angry Joe who is basically in character all the way in every video he makes yet Jim only does his character bit usually at the start and end with his points explained naturally and people hate him.

I actually find Jim to be one of my favourite "reviewers/commenters" recently.

Why are people focusing on his appearance. What does that have to do with what he's talking about, nothing, so focus on what he's talking about rather than what he's wearing

Personally, I think his wardrobe and attire is a specific choice to make it kind of a stereotype fedora wearing nerd, but making his show and content be worth it and letting it speak for itself.

Publishers need to get focus groups for the audiences they want. "Everyone" is not an audience to shoot for.

I just recently realised that just skipping parts of the video where he is personally present on screen makes his videos even better. It's very hard for me to understand why such a clever person has to be so fucking obnoxious at times. It's not about his appearance for me, it's about the way he acts. His points though, never fail to fall in line with my thoughts that I just can't quite translate to a comprehesible form. I agree with him every single time.

How can you not understand this. He presents himself like that to take the piss and I imagine to discourage people who aren't logically deducing his basic facade from watching him.
