Old as the BF3 beta, that makes it how old? Like a year and a half?
Old, but still hilarious.
Needs more blue.

During beta there was quite a bit less blue than release.

Please EA...
They said they were going to make the blue filter optional, and then never added it..
No shit, blue is ~realistic~.
All those photos are in metro where you see it the most, in every single other map its not noticeable, especially when you are playing and it really adds to the atmosphere

WE GOTTA PRESERVE DA ARTISTIC INTEGRITIES OF THE BATTLEFIELDS 3!

Going from disabling the blue tint to turning it back on makes it INCREDIBLY noticeable.
Options in general never hurt.
I don't understand why they add those dumb filters. A lot of games do it, like Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
They just detract from the work the modelers and world designers have done by adding a silly unrealistic filter that's actually easy to turn off with some console magic.

Another thing, the alpha was a lot less buggy.

Because it adds atmosphere
Without it BF3 looks gaudy as fuck

and it doesn't look more gaudy with pointless blue filters that just make the game look more monochromatic?
There is no reason for there not to be an option for it. Literally none. And the "artistic integrity" bullshit makes me want to punch DICE in their collective nuts for agreeing on something so stupid.

It looks sexy as tits when I can actually see the colors in objects and it doesn't look like someone just layered blue tint and lowered the contrast.

Looks jizztastic to me. Like holy fuck.

You obviously never played the alpha.
Wow, they actually look like remade BF2 maps without the color grading.

They are BF2 remakes :v:

You can more or less revert the blue tint shit with ccc or nvidia settings.
I just use a colour tweaker and it looks gorgeous.
