It almost looks like they were just sitting there in lawn chairs with a few cold beers, waiting for it to happen.
That was a sniper so I assume they were all just huddling and waiting for him to get blown up so they can move on.

Yeah I don't get it either. Facepunch was all "Don't be happy about the death of Bin Laden" and now they're rating winners for a guy blown into the sky and killed who probably had a family and was forced to fight in a war he might not even support (though I don't know how it works over there)

Well it doesn't look like he was forced at all really unless they were threatening his family or something, besides with the way they cheered it seemed pretty obvious that he had been actively shooting everybody in sight.

Except bin Laden was a murder-loving psychopath whereas the Syrian army is made up mostly of conscripted males that are forced to fight against their families and relatives and slaughter civilians.
If you've paid attention to any of the defects that have been happening lately it proves not all of them are hardened psychopaths that enjoy blowing up civilians.

And of course he was shooting everyone in sight because that is his job. If he was forced into the role, he's also going to be forced to shoot otherwise he'd have a lot to answer for when a bunch of troops show up past the zone he was supposed to protect
