these guys are the coolest of cool
You can tell from the fedoras they are wearing.
I don't remember where I read it, I think an Imgur comment, but it said that the hats were for trying to replicate what an actual modern-ish Samurai from some time period or another within the last 100 years would wear, and hats similar to those were part of it.
I can't find the comment now or remember exactly what it was, but it said that it wasn't for the "m'lady" factor.
If someone can find post the whole thing here on what I meant (provided if that comment wasn't just utter bullshit), I'd appreciate it.
Edit: Found it!

tbh the fedora meme is not really well known in asia
Japan is insanely fucking clean. Tokyo was fucking spotless. I have never seen any other country where smokers save their cigarette butts in a little container so they can properly dispose of them.

I've always wondered how our english memes and whatnot transfer to non-english-speaking parts of the world

This brings joy to me. I'm not entirely sure why.

I feel like there's a huge meme barrier between me and my friends like they didn't even know what sanic was until I showed it to them
I want to make use of my English skills and spread as many memes as I can to my countrymen
now I'm trying to spread the memes across my country :ok:

We need meme cultural exchanges though. You can't hoard all the spicy Taiwanese memes.
Yeah.
I always thought he had that because he didn't want to leave a trace
I learned something today
You can tell from the fedoras they are wearing.
There was an askreddit about culture shock, and a japanese guy said he was surprised to find that fedoras are considered cringy in America, because they're very popular in Japan

Do Japanese people think we're savages when they come to our cities and see cigarette butts fucking everywhere?

They literally go crazy when they realize Paris is a shithole
Do Japanese people think we're savages when they come to our cities and see cigarette butts fucking everywhere?
As the above poster said, there's literally a fucking huge amount of mental breakdowns that Japanese tourists have when they visit Paris and realize it's not at all the perfect city they imagined.

Maybe they look at us the same way we look at Indians who shit in the streets.

My sister lives in Japan and she brought a Japanese friend with her to the states for Christmas. The friend spent Christmas with us and our wacky uncle even though she doesn't speak English. So naturally my uncle tries to tell as many jokes as he can and has my sister translate. She didn't laugh at a single joke and explained that in Japan an unfunny joke is referred to as "an American joke".
Its probably the same with memes. Shit just doesn't translate.

I believe one day our memes will keep up with the western world
Japan is insanely fucking clean. Tokyo was fucking spotless. I have never seen any other country where smokers save their cigarette butts in a little container so they can properly dispose of them.
It depends on what you define as "clean". I used to live there, and one of the biggest things I remember is how dirty a lot of buildings look from air pollution. The streets may be free of cigarette butts, but that doesn't mean everything about their cities is clean.

well the new japanese guy who owns 4chan (Hiroyuki Nishimura, which 4chan users immediately gave him the nickname "hiroshima nagasaki") thinks they never left 2007 in terms of maymay content
his favorite thing from 4chan is pedobear
he would probably be the normie view of western jokes from a japanese perspective

they have alooottt of jokes over in japan internet that we dont know about, for example sony fanboys are associated with cockroaches
