It's pretty cool, but when I think of a Bungie live action trailer this pops into my head, which is pretty hard to top
That wasn't too good, really. It's like in terms of appearance and presentation it tried to be serious but the voices and things they said weren't, which sort of ruined it.

I think it's trying to come off more as a good time with friends, which I'm totally fine with. Better than the generic 'Slow walk looking cool and doing things that wouldn't happen in-game' style.
Not as bad as the Gamestop Destiny commercial. Then again every Gamestop commercial is fucking cringy as all hell.
Always funny in the futuristic settings, when they want classical music, it's some 80's rock instead of Beethovan

I love the ideas of smartass douchebags in space, so A+.
I love the ideas of smartass douchebags in space, so A+.
It's like they were plucking lines right out of the Smartass Douchebag Dictionary Generica.
Dat collar pop doe
Heh, this is alright, it's clear they were picking a lot of hints from the 'Soldier In All Of Us' campaign. I was personally confused as to why there was vegetation on Venus, a planet whose surface has to be one of the most hostile environments for life ever.

All three planets got atmospheres, Mars have some vegetation while Mercury is described as a "garden world" and Venus got a huge jungle.
The lines were cheesy but Led Zeppelin made it awesome
Wait, did Peter Dinklage voice the little floating robot?!
Wait, did Peter Dinklage voice the little floating robot?!
Yes.

God that was cringe worthy.
God that was cringe worthy.
every other game commercial and demo video right now is "friends having fun in the game" stuff, from serious "friends coming together to coordinate" stuff like the division's gameplay trailer, to this trailer's "this could be you having fun tooling around the solar system with your buddies doing whatever the fuck you want" I personally blame/thank one of the launch commercials for ps4 for really kicking off the trend since it was nigh weaponized during the great console war of 2013
Looks like they really wanted a guardians of the galaxy vibe with the whole "wacky antics in space with classic rock/pop tunes" thing
Looks like they really wanted a guardians of the galaxy vibe with the whole "wacky antics in space with classic rock/pop tunes" thing
GOTG didn't invent space humor
GOTG didn't invent space humor
I know, however it recently had a massive release, was very popular, and is VERY fresh in peoples mind. A lot of advertisement is simply just "remember this? you liked that right??? WELL THIS IS LIKE THAT"

I don't really know how to describe it but it felt really try hard and yet it didn't try anything at all. It was just a bunch of trailer cliches for wacky soldiers. I mean the soldier in all of us trailer is cheezy but it understands that it's cheezy. This doesn't.
