He's pretty fucking bad at dota2.
I liked his whole self realization bit, it's entirely true.
When I first saw his videos, he seemed like another generic LPer, and I even met him on a TS once, but he was a total cunt. But it does seem like he's making big changes, which is pretty awesome. He does seem to make pretty nice content every now and then.
I can see that people didn't like him before, but now it almost seems pointless, and more so just opinion.
I am glad he is taking steps to better himself.

The reason why it bothers some people is because people blindly hate without giving a reason, which isn't helpful for the people that want to know why they dislike something, especially on the subject of totalbiscuit. But going with what I said above, I could give a shit less if people dislike him, there are those that appreciate his content/attitude, and some that don't. that simple.

the fact he wants to better himself is cool but why are all of his videos SO long. he should work on not talking about himself for 40 minutes and on how to come to a point concisely
