This happened to me once when I was out in the woods on a PE lesson.
We decided to run through a field where there were a bunch of cows and at first they just stared at us when we walked across but then like 30 seconds later a few charged us.
I ran.

Once me and a friend where walking down a country path when we came across a field of cows. I stood at the gate and started mooing at them and before long they started to gather around the fence staring at me. For a brief moment in my life I became the king of cows.

It only chased them because they ran. It started out just being curious.
Cows are alot smarter than you guys think, on my old farm they used to get up to all sorts of shit. Like when they don't want to leave a paddock, they'd walk into the middle of a dam so you can't get them out. (THEY FUCKING KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING!)

I wasn't really laughing at the guy, more at how the cow was swerving when running!
Also, at the end where all the cows come in reminded me of like a Zombie film, possible like the scene from 28weeks later where they all start running in after haha
Come on it just wanted to play. Young cows are really curious and playful. That doesn't mean it's 100% safe though, you better not get bodyslammed.
One of my neighbors has a young bull, I play with him from time to time. The bull likes getting scratched under the chin too.
