Science answers the question with the help of technology and experimentation, based on ideas and theories, as well as commonly approved theories(AKA facts).
It was all good until the end. A little skewed at some points.

So pretty much religion was all "oh shit guys, those science blokes down the street are making a ton of since. Lets make it look like this was gods plan all along" :smug:
